Can someone tell me a little about the new water coasters? Are they mostly enclosed? The pics I've seen make them look mostly enclosed. I don't like the enclosed thing. I feel claustrophobic. I also have a DD7 (non-swimmer) who can do mild tube rides or the family raft ride. I'm wondering if these are too wild for her.

It is not a watercoaster. A watercoaster is like the Journey to Atlantis ride at SeaWorld. The new ride at TL is a flume. It is bascially one ride called Slusher Gusher which has 3 slides (pineapple, coconut, and banana). All are the same length and intensity. The straight parts of the ride are exposed covered only with netting at the top. All the turns are covered. You dont have chance to feel claushtrophobic as it is a very fast and fun ride. My wife and I went on it 3 times in a row. The catch with this ride is that it goes up as well as down. On the straight sections, the flume drops sharply but not far(lift your butt off the tube for this bit) and when it levels out, huge jets of water push you up the an incline and into a curved tunnel. This happens 3 times until you hit the splash down pool. Good fun but the theming is pretty dire.

Hi. Most of our family enjoyed these rides when we went in April. DH, DD7 (daredevil), and I could have ridden multiple times in a row and did. However, our DD9 is not a daredevil and we had a difficult time convincing her to ride. She rode once and that was enough for her. If your daughter doesn't like regular roller coasters, I don't think she'll like this ride. I don't think you'll have issues with the enclosed parts because it's so fast, as a previous poster said.

I personally found the ride a bit rough and it can hurt your bum if you con't keep it up. Our dd7 (the daredevil) loved it all 8 times she went(!!!) but did complain of a sore bum. She's a skinny little thing and I was afraid she was going to come flying out of the raft!

Hope that helps! Enjoy your trip.

We were just there last week.

My 7 DD who is fearless loved these slides/flumes.

My DD13 who is afraid of everything fast, LOVED these too. I don't think you'll feel claustrophic, I didn't at all, it's over before you could even think to feel that way. They made us all giggle on the way down.

They're fun, go for it :)
