I am just wondering if anyone has done the newest tour that includes a peek into Walt's apartment.

We are planning on doing it on our visit in November....

Love to hear a review or two...or three...

I enjoyed the new tour. I found it to be interesting, educational, and not-too-long-but-not-too-short.

As for the apartment, we were able to go in the apartment, stand behind a stanchion from which we could see the apartment (it's small). No photos were allowed.

Not sure if you wanted to hear about the entire tour or just the apartment part. Let me know.

Thanks for the comment.

I would love to hear more details, if anyone can walk me through the tour...I want to see if it is worth the money. What type of lunch is served since they changed the tour...

Thanks!

My husband and I did the tour Tuesday morning this week. We both liked it but thought the price was a little high, unless you are really excited to see the apartment. We basically walked through each land of the park and stopped to hear clips of Walt and also stories told by our guide. The peek in the Club 33 lobby was fast. Photos wee allowed there and you got to see the lift copied from the one in Paris that inspired Walt, but couldn't go upstairs. We stopped to ride Peter Pan in Fantasyland (this was nice-I hate waiting in that line, so it was cool to have such a short wait). We also rode It's A Small World. The apartment was really neat, and they took one photo of us by the lamp in the window on our camera but didn't allow any other pictures. Lunch was ordered off a small menu-I think the same one offered before. Any questions, just ask!

Walk in Walt’s Disneyland Footsteps Tour ~ New in 2012
Posted on Thursday, 4th October 2012 by Mary Jo

Just when you think you have seen it all, and there is nothing new you can learn about Disney’s original Magic Kingdom, Disneyland brings us the popular tour, Walk in Walt’s Footsteps, the story version.

Mary Jo, I have a question. I see from your review that you got the pin that was mailed to you that opens out, but that while you were there, you also received a pin of the lamp. I took the tour the day after you, and I only got the pin via the mail, and not the lamp pin. I just called them to ask, and the CM insisted that it was only the one pin (which was what I had thought as well), and said that you must have purchased it or something. Do you have any insight on this? Was anything said about the pin at the time, like if you might be receiving it for some special occasion?

Thanks!

When we toured the apartment, they gave us the lamp pin during the tour. In fact, they opened a drawer in the "kitchen" area and got the pins there.

Grrr. They didn't do anything like that with us. :( When did you take the tour? I took it on 9/24.

They did the same on our tour. We got the pin while we were up in Walt's apartment. The cm opened the drawer in the kitchenette and handed each one of us a pin. I thought it was part of the tour. I went on 9/23.

I took the tour on 9/10/12, and I was under the impression that one of the pins was only for the first groups taking the tour.

Mary Jo went 9/23, the day before me. Has anyone gotten the pin after 9/24? Just trying to figure out if I have a case for calling to ask for the pin.
