New VIP seating at the Seaworld shows

I noticed Seaworld is now offering a VIP seating plan that you can purchase ahead of time and it gives you VIP seating for all of the Seaworld tours for 1 time that day. I looked for the day we are going and it is only $12 a person so it sounds like a pretty good deal to me. Does anyone know where the actual seating is for these shows? Also how packed do these areas get because the note on the website says get there 15 minutes before hand, wondering if that is the case or if you need to get there sooner?

We walked into the shows 10 or 15 minutes before they started and were always able to get "decent" seats despite the heavy crowds. I wouldn't pay that for priority seating. Particularly if you want to be in the splash/soak zones for One Ocean and Blue Horizons - there were PLENTY of spots up to the show's beginnings. We walked into One Ocean just before it started and could have sat in row 1 if we'd wanted to.

I did see the cordoned off areas at each show, towards the front, and not too many people in them - so if you do purchase VIP I imagine you could show up just before the show begins and you'd be fine.

When is your trip? That would definitely affect my opinion on whether the reserved seating was a great deal or not.

If you are going, say, Christmas week....then its a fantastic idea.

The first week of February? Probably would be a waste of money.

Platinum passes give you the same seating included with price of the pass. Decent seats without having to wait.

Are you saying that platinum pass holders get the reserved seating for free? We just bought platinum passes...

Yes there is a platinum pass section in all of the major shows. Four or five rows right in the middle. Awesome benefit. We try to get there about 20 minutes before the show. Clyde and Seymour has the smallest platinum seating section. You can ride Journey to Atlantic and Kracken twice in a row.
