The water coaster has officially opened and is getting really great reviews so far. It will hold 2 people per tube. It goes up and down hills. I guess it also has 3 different slides to pick from. I am really excited to give this a try on our next trip.
It opened on March 15th and we were at Typhoon Lagoon on March 16th.
It was cloudy and threatening to rain all day so therefore....no crowds.
We rode the 3 different slides back to back several times 1st thing at opening and they were a lot of fun. They are fast and fun and certainly not scary.
Each slide has 3 little uphill sections which are preceded by a downhill to gain momentum to carry you up, however they also have very forceful water jets that propel you uphill as well.
You sit in an innertube with 2 seat holes and 2 handles and you can go by yourself or with a friend.
Great fun and certainly different. We had experienced this technology before at a water slide in Dallas at a waterpark called NRH2O.
Our whole family is looking forward to going again soo!
Does anyone know how this new ride effects Out of the Way Cay? That was always my favorite place to sit and relax at the park because it was...well...out of the way! Now it looks like it's right at the base of this new ride though?
I'm excited about this ride, because it is 2 person, so my 6 year old can ride with me, PLUS, it has the clear netting on top, which gets rid of the reason why I don't do slides - fear of flying out of it!
