New TV Shows - Fall Premiers - Update Your Opinion!

Anyone excited for Timeless?
Nope - I dislike police/detective/crime shows, regardless of how many different dimensions they span...:teeth:
So far have seen premieres of This is Us (loved it), The Good Place (loved it, but have a feeling it won't be around for long), Greys Anatomy (have been with the show since season 1, so sticking it out, hoping it gets better), NCIS (like the addition of Jennifer Esposito, not thrilled with Wilbur Valderama so far). Also saw Law and Order SVU (same old same old), Survivor, Hawaii 5-O (can't go without my weekly Alex O'Loughlin fix). Also saw Big Bang (so funny), hubby watched NCIS NO (I don't think he even noticed Brody was gone!). Have a lot on DVR- Chicago PD, Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, Notorious. Waiting for Code Black this week, that was one of our favorites last season.Looking forward to see how Pure Genius turns out to be, but not adding many more new shows to our watching lineup this season.
I wasn't really counting the premiers of returning shows, but I have to say that Monday's episode of TBBT was easily the worst I've ever seen (and I've seen them all). Katie Segal and whoever it was playing Penny's brother were cringe-worthy. The writing on that show, for the most part is very good - I'm not sure how those two characters ever made it to air and I certainly hope they will not be recurring. :crazy2:

I'm sick and bored tonight so I watched the pilot for Kevin Can Wait. I typically hate sitcoms and I hated this one too - so stereotypical: the husband and dad is a big dumb jerk who has to be "managed" by all the manipulative, passive-aggressive women in his life. Why does anybody find this ****e funny?

Kevin Can Wait is the only "new" show I have seen. I really like Kevin James, but yea this show did not thrill me. The show seemed tired, like it was towards the end of the run... and it was only the first episode. Now they just need to throw in a new baby.

"This is Us" - too convoluted...deleted

"Designated Survivor" - Deleted 'Nuff Said

"The Blacklist" - More of the same DELETED

"Quan2ico" - Same as last season DELETED

I watched the premiere of Secrets and Lies last night. I guess it's technically not a new show, but almost all the characters are. :) so happy to see Terry O'Quinn in a show!!! I think I might like this season better than Season 1. I do not like the the main character's sister in law too much (blonde lady).

Hawaii 5-O (can't go without my weekly Alex O'Loughlin fix)

:rotfl::rotfl:
When I turned H5O on last week DH said something like that to me (Need your McGarret fix?) Show is a bit ridiculous but the scenery is worth it (and Hawaii too-hoping we make it there next summer)

assuming you meant the 'eye candy' of Alex, I totally agree!!

Happy to say that tonight's episode was going back in the right direction - they had me worried there for a minute!

From advice on this thread, I went and found the first episode of The Good Place. Interesting...

After having seen the first 2 episodes of Kevin Can Wait, it's been deleted off my watch list, and I predict it will be among the early casualties for cancellation

I watched the first three episodes of The Good Place and it's amazing. Kristen Bell is great and the writers are fantastic. I haven't laughed out loud watching a network comedy in years.

I get so tired of Steve and Danny's bickering like an old married couple. When they went to couples' therapy, that was also way over the top. I wish the show would fill the space with more scenery, and get rid of the flakey relative characters. And no hospital would allow wheelchair races that endanger other people. Come on!

How many times has Steve been shot without any scars on his torso? Where's the scar from his liver transplant surgery?

Yeah, that liver transplant story was quite unbelievable. And they let Danny out in the field before his driving restriction had even been lifted? And at the same time Steve was able to chase a suspect like that? I don't think so.

I sort of like the old married couple bickering. I think it's amusing. But I agree on the flakey relatives. Use that time for more gorgeous scenery. I told my daughter the other day the scenery is the main reason I watch it.
