Looking forward to second season of Crazy Ex Girlfriend and I will probably check out Designated Survivor because...Keifer Sutherland.

Yes! that was my surprise favorite show of last year. It took me a few episodes to warm up but I was so glad I stuck with it, it's really smart and well done. Looking forward to its return.

Only thing I.Have seen.So far was Kevin can Wait. Was no where near as good as King of Quuens. Don't think it will last to long

The only one that I've seen is The Good Place. I really want to like it, so I'm going to give it a few more episodes. I wasn't really impressed with the first one, though.

I remember the commercials for This is Us during the Olympics, but I missed that it started. I'll need to see if I can find the first episode because I did want to try that one.

I hope that Joel McHale's new show will be watchable. I really like him. The problem is that I think it's going to have a laugh track.

I think the only new shows I'm watching are Better Things and Atlanta, both on FX.

I loved Better Things straight off. Pamela Adlon is awesome personified.

I didn't "get" the first couple episodes of Atlanta, but I'm coming around to really liking it. It's unlike anything else I've ever watched.

I think the problem with Kevin Can Wait for me is that I still watch The King of Queens on a regular basis. I'm having a hard time separating Doug from Kevin. I felt there wasn't chemistry with the wife but it could just be it's not King of Queens.

I have a whole slew of stuff to be DVR'd but am not sure I want to get invested in any dramas this season, the ones I tend to like get canceled more often than not.

Have This Is Us on the DVR but a ton of my shows come back on tonight so I'm not sure when I'll get to it.

The only ones I've seen so far are Kevin Can Wait and The Good Place.

Kevin Can Wait: A pretty formulaic family comedy, I'd give it a C+ without the kids. But I'm a sucker for dumb kids (like Luke Dunphy), and he has two dumb ones, so I'm giving the show a B-.

The Good Place: I didn't get it, but I imagine it's going to be the most talked-about new show on TV, so I'm giving it a couple more episodes. Right now it's a solid D-.

I have Designated Survivor and Speechless set to record, and just finished watching the first episode of This Is Us. I loved it!

I think I read that there are a couple of time-travel ones that will start a bit later. I will probably look for those when it's close enough to record them.

Saw Designated Survivor last night. There's so much more that needs to be revealed for a complete story line; the premier just scratched the surface. But we liked it and love that type of show in general, so it's a keeper - for now at least. I'm hoping it won't go all "Quantico" on us. That premise started out great but became unwatchable by season's end. :crazy2:

I think there is an encore this Friday or Saturday on NBC. Check your guide. If not, I'll bet you can catch it on demand on on their site. They are really hyping that show.

I tried to watch Lethal Weapon last night...ugh...it was bad. It was like really bad. I had to turn it off after the first 15 minutes. They try to do some similar scenes from the first movie, but it has no gravitas, no real intensity. The acting is so casual. Oh well, I get an hour of my week back.

Watched Speechless and really liked it. Script was funny and I relate to an extent to some of the situations going on in the show. I will probably watch it again.

Designated Survivor was also very entertaining and held my attention. I was a little distracted by Keifer's weird glasses though. Not sure what those are about.

Yeah, what was the deal with Quantico? I love that sort of show, and usually stick with stuff far longer than I should, but I actually stopped taping that one midway through last year.

I'm guessing the tentative nature and nerdy glasses are just his starting point. The series will probably be about him growing outside of that opening persona. I hope? Is it too much to hope that he'll embrace his inner Jack Bauer at some point?

I haven't gotten to watch any of the new shows yet but we do have Designated Survivor, This is Us, Kevin Can Wait and The Good Place on the DVR. I'm thinking that I might not even watch the last two. I can't wait for Grey's Anatomy tonight and I'm going to see how Notorious is. The only shows that I watched the season premieres already are SVU and Chicago PD.

Really? Riggs and Murtaugh are my favorite movie cops of all time. The Lethal Weapon movies are sacred in my house. I was kind of bent out of shape they'd make a TV series out of it and wasn't going to even bother with it. But, I love Damon Waynes so I decided to give it a go. Seeing your response I didn't have much hope. I thought they nailed the characters and laughed out loud several times. Maybe it was the nostalgia but I really liked it.

I've heard nothing but bad stuff about Notorious. Every single reviewer hated it.

I really loved Designated Survivor. I recommended it to my dad. Hope he likes it, I want to talk about it with someone.

I'm looking forward to the new season of Blue Bloods, too. I love that show.

I dunno. I love the movies too, and I just wasn't feeling this. I don't at all like the actor playing Riggs. Plus, I feel like they are "doing" the story from Lethal Weapon 1, where Riggs actually is borderline suicidal, and that move was not really that funny (dark humor I suppose, very dark). The Lethal Weapon movies don't really become funny until the second one where Riggs has become more well-adjusted. I don't think the scenario and the tone blend well together.

I'm thinking it's for the benefit of those who don't know the movies. Explains why Riggs is a little bit nuts. What I didn't care for was the not so subtle hints at the "birthday present." This was presented on Fox not FX so that bugged me a little. Who knows? I might hate it next week.
