Anna I know taht I just have to do my ADRs for the end of May this week. Can't wait to start planning!

I'm getting ready to clean our bedroom and the bathroom! Yippee it's a yucky weather day here today snowing and everyting and it's the yucky wet snow:upsidedow. I spoke to my dad who advised me NOT to call my mom because she needs to call me. If I make it ok for her then I'm feeding into her little world so I actually feel better about it knowing that my dad supports me but it's kinda bittersweet. I miss her too. . . :sad1:

I'm gonna get myself ready for my call with the insurance coordinator tomorrow. We figured out last night that we can do an IVF round if it is done befor the end of May. June through October are out. My thought is if we are planning it then we have control over time, if it doesn't work we won't stop trying on our own because I still believe in miricles! That is something I can change a vacation for but I would feel bad having to change Meg's spring break because of p--s poor planning.

Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend!

Oh and such great news about Kiki Mouse! So happy for her!:yay:

You're welcome. Kiki posted pics of the baby to Facebook and she is adorable.:cutie: I teared up just looking at her. So sweet. I soooo want one.!!!!!

Aurora - I saw your shower pics on the other thread. You look great and it looked like you had a very nice shower.

Whats KIKI's Facebook page? I would love to see the pics :-)

Hey ladies - I have a question for you regarding Clomid. I had my annual in November and she scheduled a follow-up appt for this week to put me on Clomid if I wasn't pregnant by now (which I am obviously not :( ). Did your doctor need to do another exam for this or just write you out a prescription and talk to you about it? I just started my period so I don't know if that would be an issue, I guess? Thanks!

I didn't have an exam once we decided to do clomid. Actually my doctor just called it in for me and I didn't even have to go in the office, however I had taken it before years ago.

Before my Dr let me start Clomid, she made me had an HSG to make sure my tubes were clear. I always did Clomid CD5-9 and starting going in for follicle scans around CD12.

Soccer princess- my doctor just gave me a prescription note and told me to try it when we were ready (I said I wanted to wait a little longer). No HSG- but I did have bloodwork done and DH was already tested (I am assuming you have already jumped those hurdles). I got the same instructions as Skuttle.

I did think that they would want to check if my tubes were open, but I guess if clomid doesn't work they will look at that next. We are thinking of trying clomid in May. Good luck if you do- and feel free to join in here any time!

I hope everyone is having a good weekend. I had soooo much fun babysitting my cousin's baby yesterday. My husband was smiling the whole time- I know he will be a good dad someday...I just hope it's sooner rather than later!

It is fun to pretend, isn't it.

T&T - I didn't want to post too much about KiKi w/o her permission, so I'll ask her to either post pics on the Dis or get in touch w/ you.

Hi Ladies,

I haven't had a lot of time to catch up on stuff but I wanted to let you all know we had our baby girl on Thursday March 18.

I'm great...crying as I type this because I am so thankful for everything.
Two years of trying and crying and stress and tests et. and riding the rollercoaster. I still cannot believe things worked out for us. I know it's hard when people "graduate" from here and you feel left behind. I knew I was happy for others but felt my own pain. DH and I were talking this morning about how we never gave up and every month we would look at the "schedule" and try and try again.

I keep lurking on here because I keep hoping for some more good news. :goodvibes

Love to all of you and most of all some pixie and baby dust :wizard:

Hi everyone! :cool1:

Kenny and I braved the spring snowstorm last nite to see Ludacris/the Blackeyed Peas. It was really awesome! Granted, we were in the nosebleed seats, but the place we went to has these great screens where we could watch the performers on stage! It was as good as any show in Vegas or LA!!!!! :worship:

Anna

what does it look like and approx when does it happen?

i got my af Feb 26 but it lasted about 2 weeks.

i got some very light bleeding today - didn't even feel it or know it until my dd(4) asked if i cut myself and saw it on my nightgown just before her bed time.

i don't remember having it or maybe i thought it was just af with dd

thanks

With my DS it was the same spotting I get in my first day or 2 of AF. I don't think it was ever enough to go thru to my clothes.

I tell you, it's hard to write articles when all you want to do is.......

:happytv:

:rotfl:

My brain is tired. I have three articles to write by the end of the week: New Orleans tours, Eureka Springs, and Epcot. I just want to :surfweb: and chill out. popcorn::

Oh well, how's it going with you guys?

Anna

Hi ladies! Well i'm patiently waitng for the insurance lady to call me back from the IVF office. I'm on pins and needles but I'm pretty sure I am covered. ;) My mother and I spoke yesterday for the first time since last week and she has called her dr about her meds so that is all I can ask for. I'm happy that we are talking even though there is still an elephant in the room that will need to fade away in time. I just want to get this whole thing started given my time contraints with our trip next year. Mike and I were talking about our trip to Disney at the end of May and I told him that I was hoping that the Disney Magic would prevail while we were therepixiedust: Wouldn't that be a hoot! Mike and I are also going to try and lose 10 pounds before our trip. We weighed in this am and my damage wasn't as bad as I thought, however, I could still stand to lose a few lbs! I am hoping that I will get my patootie to the gym starting next week but we did go out for a walk last night for a half hour which was a great start.

I have a new receptionist that i am training. Going a little slow but again it is great that she is asking alot of questions and it is only the second day!

Uggg RING PHONE RING PHONE!!!!!

Morning ladies,

Esbrick- I hope the insurance works out for you! And I hope they call soon! Waiting on something like that is the pits.

Anna- sounds like you have a fun job. Do you write for a website or a magazine? Let us know if there is somewhere that we can read your stuff (if you feel like telling us of course!). Sounds like good stuff.

I hope everyone else is doing well. I am in the TWW, it will end when we are on vacation, so I have packed two pregnancy tests... just in case!

This weekend we ran into a friend and she told us that her husband was just diagnosed with testicular cancer (and only 28!). The outlook is good I guess...but it was pretty obvious that they won't be having kids. My husband and I both felt sad for them and a little guilty for doing so much pouting- at least we are both healthy. It is hard how life can be so unfair.

Wishing us all lots of luck and bouncing babies 9 months from now!

KG, I would probably pack more than 2....so you've shown good restraint! :rotfl:

We waited over an hour and a half to see the dr this morning. Our appt was at 9:30 and we didn't see him until after 11. I was pissed but just hoped that they wouldn't charge us too much (it was $215 for our initial consult before all our IUI's etc).

Well...we walked out WITH a "sample" (300 iu) of Gonal F and the pen to put it in -- which will be the injectables I'm going to take -- and.....

*drumroll please*

The receptionist said it was $20 for today!!!!!!

:banana::banana::banana::banana:

We already have a $315 credit on our account so this means that we still have a $295 credit left to go towards the cycle!!! (we found out about the credit on last visit, and are not 100% sure where it came from, but we'll take it!!)

The cycle will go something like this: I'm still on the birth control pills -- I take those until the 31st (next Wednesday). They expect my AF to start a few days later, and then I have my baseline ultrasound (and bloodwork) on Monday the 5th at 11 am, which should be CD 3 or 4. Assuming everything looks fine, which it should especially after BC, I will start my Gonal F injectables that same day. I'm taking the lowest dose, of 75 IU a day. I'll take it for 4 days, and then go in for a follicle check on Friday the 9th (Thank God I'm off that day already). If they seem to be growing quickly, I'll have another check that Saturday as well. Otherwise, I'll be back in Monday the 12th for another ultrasound. (I may or may not need more meds, and if I do they will order them on the 9th when I go for that first follie check). And then possibly another follie check Tuesday and/or Wednesday, etc. There could be every day checks after that. I'll be on a different trigger this time (probably Pregnyl, whereas I was on Novarelle last 3 IUIs) and will take it whenever my follies are ready. The IUI will most likely take place between that Wednesday to Friday. (April 14th, 15th, or 16th)

We are shooting for 4 follicles this time! 3 would be an okay number but since we're spending all this extra money and this is the 4th IUI, I want to really get aggressive. The RE said "4 or more" would be fine for me...yeah!!!

Also we are going with a different donor than what we had. Maybe this other one just wasn't working.

So we are upping the ante' here and I'm very excited!!!

This is amazing and I am so happy for you! The will start you with that dose and bump you up as the cycle goes on if they need to. This happened to me I started at 150 and went from there.
