Mrs.Charming ~ Amen sister! I have to say that 2009 started out well for us but has been a rollercoaster ride ever since! I'm hoping that time is a great teacher and healer and that we can move on to great new beginnings this year.

Allison ~ I'm glad you are feeling good about talking. Keeping things inside is suffering in silence and sometimes a fresh ear is a good one. Also you never know who has certain information that could help you that you wouldn't get if you didn't put this out there.

I went this am for iui. Got there 40 minutes late! The traffic reports for our area were all out of wack and it wasn't until I got on the one highway when it came out and said "Oh no the traffice reports came in wrong, here's what's going on!" I was in traffic hell so I had a major meltdown called the office and they told me not to worry. I got there and they said not to worry because they were backed up anyway! Gosh I know I've said it before but I really never thought I was gonna be one of "those" people. I thought I was alot more stoic then that! Sheesh I told them that I did an LH this am and it was better then the other day and i even brought it with me to show them because I didn't trust myself! I'm pretty sure I was wrong when I looked at it on Monday but this am they confirmed the one I brought in! So after Nurse Nicole (here in called NN) told me that I have to wait the 2 weeks before testing and of course that brings us to December 30th and here we are having our church wedding on the 31st. Talk about pressure! NN, who did the iui, is very nice and she has been so helpful in explaining things to me so I was really happy when I found out it was her doing it!

I have a headache I don't want to get excited cause I know it is so rare that these are good to go on the first try, but i am hopeful.

Wow! This thread has been busy. Welcome to the newbies, I'm new too. .

First did I read that right- you are getting married on Dec 31st esbrick?!?! How wonderful, congrats

And I am crossing my fingers for all the IUI ladies, and those who have got the "go light" It was just 'go' day in our house (a whole week early!!!!). I have no idea why it came early, but I am thrilled.

D&D- I hope you are having a wonderful trip and birthday- I think we could all use a little Disney magic right now.

Chloe and WDWorbust - hugs for your lost doggies! I couldn't imagine losing our dog while going through this. Our is our only "child" and we baby him to death. He is the one thing that cheers me up whenever AF comes.

Kronk's girl ~ Yes we are getting married again! We got married last year 12/13 in a civil ceremony. It was fantastic and wonderful! This year we are getting married again in a Church ceremony. We feel strongly that God has blessed us with finding each other. Also, my parents really want this so last year was wedding "Our" way and this year is wedding with them planning. Honestly between TTC and work I don't have the bandwith to handle somehting else.

Thanks Kronk's girl. Ours was also our very spoiled "child". She was a great comfort to me, so to lose her was really heartbreaking.

Esbrick, I never worry too much about running late for the appointments, they are never running on time. I'm happy it all worked out and you like NN. It really helps to be comfortable with the nurse. Best of luck for your upcoming vow renewel.

Hiya ladies, quick question, I am getting my hair done on Sunday, high/lowlights, and stuff, this is ok right? I mean yesterday NN told me I should be eating/drinking et al as if I were pregnant. On the other hand I don't know if I am or not? Is this ok?

LOL I know exactly what you mean. I remember that when I was pg with DD, off-the-scalp haircoloring was ok.

Ok, here's a weird Q. I'm on cd25/2dpo, and the monitor is back on low. I felt a few twinges in my ovary area, and when I got home from more Christmas shopping I peed on a leftover CBE stick. It was crazy, the "estrogen" line was a weird royal blue! I'm still confused by it. I know I shouldnt have been testing in the evening, but this was weird-- it was darker than any estrogen line I've ever gotten. And at 2dpo?? I've googled it and the only thing I came up with was a secondary estrogen surge/implantation dip type thing, but it's too early for that. What can thsi be?

Sorry Mrs. Charming- I don't know how the machines work. I hope that is a good sign though?!? I use OPK's that I bought in bulk online to save money. They were really cheap and work well.

I have to do a mini health care vent. A few months ago our doctor dropped us which stunk because she was my primary care and gyn all in one. But she wanted to start charging an annual fee of $1500 a year per person which would mean an extra $3000 a year for my husband and I (not including office co-pays or anything). No way. So we found all new doctors this month and when I went to get our records transferred it will be $60! That doesn't seem fair when she dropped us. Ugh.

Kronk - That seems ridiculous. I'd be ticked off ... have you tried talking to an office manager or the doctor herself?

Mrs. Charming - I have had a second estrogen surge that I caught around 2-4DPO twice. One cycle I actually got a BFP but had a M/C, the other I did not. I have read it's very common but we don't see it ... that can also account for a fall back temp reading around 3DPO if you chart your temp.

Ok so I take a walgreens brand of pre-natal vitamins and let me tell you, my hair and nails groooooow! I mean to be honest I can't complain, however, I was an avid leg waxer but now I just can't cause I would be going every 2 weeks! Just to expensive for the winter. However, I do maintain lip wax, sheesh, need to upkeep somethin!

Kronk's girl ~As for your Dr, holy crapballs batgirl! Sounds like you were being asked to pay a retainor to keep your Dr. That's crazy considering how much is NOT covered by Insurance anymore and your Dr goes there? The cost for transferring your records is unfortunate as it makes it sound like they are holding your records hostage. Those are your property. Maybe their hurtin' for money. Terrible. So sorry!

Hi everyone. One week down, one more week of waiting to go.

Kronk's girl - I really don't agree with charge for copies of medical records. Sure there's time and paper used, but I see it as part of doing business. As for the annual fee, I think that sort of defeats the purpose of your insurance.

Hey Kronk's girl, I think there are laws about how much can be charged for medical records, I'd google it! It varies from state to state, but it can't hurt.

We're snowed in today, it's absolutely nuts. There's about a foot out there!

We were expecting a lot of snow, but so far there's not much of anything. That's good news, as we are driving to another state tomorrow to go look at bulldog puppies.

This upcoming week will be the worst, I'd just like to know one way or another. I overthink every twinge in my abdomen. I just want it to be next weekend to know yes or no, and move on with things.

Hi ladies. I posted about a month ago saying we were going to be starting IVF in dec/jan. I didn't post much since then, since nothing was really going on with me, since I was on BCP.

I'm now 2 days away from giving myself my first lupron injection!
I wasn't really scared about any of this up until last week when it became more real that this is happening. I got all my meds 2 weeks ago, and wow, it's allot of stuff!!! I took a picture of it all, lol.

So on
12/22~ I start 5 units of lupron
12/27~ I stop BCP
12/31~ I go in for my baseline U/S, BW, and mock transfer
1/2~ I start my menapur and bravelle, and cut my lupron injection dose in half.

This is both exciting and scary.

I hope you all don't mind me poking my head in here every now and then.....I admit that I read your posts. I find myself drifting back here all the time even though my Dh and I have our miracle's and we are done with our infertility journey. Perhaps it is because I was there myself for years..... but whatever the reason just know there is someone out there rooting for and cheering each one of you on!

How did the lupron make you feel, if you took it? I have heard people get bad headaches from it, and they get very moody. That's all I need around xmas time, turn into a major B, lol.
What was your protocol?
