New TRAVEL CHANNEL Christmas Special!!!

Hi everyone...

I am the Exec Producer of the show and it will air at 8pm (eastern) on the Travel Channel!

We had a great time shooting in Disney! In fact, if you watch the show... my daughter is in a shot when they light the tree at Epcot!

Enjoy and let me know what you think!:happytv:

Great! I really enjoy Samantha Brown. :woohoo: :woohoo: I especially like the shows that are centered in WDW and the rest of the US. :cheer2:
There are so many of us that will never get the chance to travel outside of the US; but can and do travel extensively in the US. I would like to see her review some mid-priced resorts and hotels.

I love the idea that I can view it and then share my reactions with the Executive Producer! It will be fun to try to pick out your daughter in the Epcot scene.

:yay:

Well....what did everyone think????

If I wasnt leaving tomorrow, after watching that show.....I would be booking a trip!! lol

I think it was great, especially for Disney fans to "experience" if they have never been at this time before, such as myself.
I think December is proving to be busy....ALL month!!

I agree! Awesome show!!! I LOVED it! I like all the little facts they gave, especially how many lights are on the castle. We just went in October and I already have a yearning to go back!!!:rotfl: Now my kids want to go at the holidays next time. Great....get to spend even MORE money!!!:lmao:

We didn't watch it yet, but we did record it. I'm excited to see it...only 18 days until I get to see all the Christmas decorations in person!! :goodvibes

:welcome:
Great show! Thanks!

We'd LOVE more WDW shows with Sam! Especially in the resorts. So many have been remodeled since her orginal shows.

My wife and I LOVED what we saw of the show.

We missed about ten minutes just before the first commercial break (the Travel Channel went "wonky"), but I taped the later showing and will rewatch it, with the kids, tonight.

My one and only complaint was.....it was too short! They had to cram SO much in to that one order that some stuff, especially the resorts which I think are a real highlight during the holidays, were too brief. I would have been up for another hour...but I'm a bona fide Disney nut, so I understand why they had to do the "highlight reel" version. :)

The show was great. I actually spotted my mom and me twice during it. Too cool! :cool1:

If the lights look that AWESOME on tv, I cant imagine how it is to see the lights at all the parks in person. We had decided before last night that we are going sometime during Dec. in '09 (not when PW is there though)and after watching the show that just sealed the deal. The Osbourne lights and the castle totally blew me away.
Another thing that I took away from the show was, how cool would it be to get to go on a ride with one of the Imagineers? Just so they can see our expressions and how much we enjoy their work.:thumbsup2 :surfweb:

I loved the show! we were rushing home from the mall to make sure we got there on time... my hubby didn't watch with me though (that party pooper!) so I turned off the lights, switched on my blue christmas tree, snuggled up under a blanket on the couch with a cup of chocolate ice cream and watched the show! I LOVED it! I was so cozy and felt like a little kid watching it..

and I LOOOOOOVE Samantha Brown! I don't know why buy my hubby doesn't like her and neither do some of our friends.. so I'm always standing up for her and how great she is and funny and just likeable. We're best friends, she just doesn't know it yet! ;)

thank you for doing the show ( to the producer who posted here) ... and yes, I'd love to see more shows on each of the disney hotels or DVC resorts! I think staying at the resorts is just as much fun (if not more) than going to the parks themselves!

merry christmas everyone! :grouphug:

I know! I've seen the Osbourne lights before but now I want to go right when they switch them on! and to get to ride EE with Joe?!? (that's his name right?) WOW! I've never been on EE... now I can't wait for christmas 08!

I love Sam Brown, especially when she cover Disney. This was her most magical Disney special yet!:thumbsup2 :wizard: I'm sure I would have loved it even more if we were going during the holidays this year, but I will save it to watch for our 2008 Christmas trip!

Also if anyone watches Jon & Kate Plus Eight, 12/10's show is about them going to Disney!

Does anyone remember the web site we can go to and check all the Disney shows for the week? I can't seem to find it.

I watched it...so cute! But I wanted to call Kate and tell her to plan the next trip in cooler weather!!

Anyone catch the Raven WDW travel show that was last night. That one isn't new....or maybe it was just that the Poly didn't have their recreation in gingerbread and chocolate out before December 1st? It wasn't there when we visited after Thanksgiving.

My thoughts....

I wish they would have shown more Disneyland. They'd talk about something at Disneyland for about 3 seconds and that was it. They didn't really show the Haunted Mansion Holiday. And they barely showed It's a Small World. WDW and Disneyland both have great Christmas things. WDW's decorations are a bit more over the top and stuff and DL's are more subtle. Maybe that's why they didn't want to show them as much. Boo.

And I cannot stand Samantha Brown. When I saw she was going to be the host...I was disappointed. She drives me and my husband crazy!

But it was neat to see the WDW decorations because I will never be there around Christmas.

Hi there LoriAnsaldi!! Everyone on the Dis voted and it's been decided that Samantha needs a sidekick when she's visiting Great Hotels and her sidekick should be ME!! (not really I made that up but it's a great idea, don't you think? Samantha Brown and Angie Blue, got a nice ring to it, hmm?

I couldnt decide which one to watch. Samatha Brown was on the travel channel and Raven Simone was on Food Network BOTH with Disney Programs.

Samantha's show was great. Can't wait to go next year at this time.pirate:

I have been to WDW in December a couple of times but won't be as long as my kids are in HS (attendance requirements) so I enjoyed seeing the Osborne Lights on NY Street (when I saw them they were on the backlot) and the wonderful "ice" effect on the castle. I was sorry they spent time on DL because it is such a short show, I wanted it all to be WDW.
Luna, one of our trees has blue lights too! It's very soothing.

I really loved the new show and the part where they showed the castle lights made me cry, glad I get to see it next Wednesday night. I am so excited and that made me even more excited :cheer2: :woohoo: :yay:

This show was at least 2 years old, because I first saw it in December of 2005and watched it everytime it came on because I was getting prepared for our December 2006 trip.

I guess she was there a lot. I spotted her the 27, but others saw her before that. She wasn't as friendly in person as I imagined, but I don't think I would be either after filming all day. (I didn't stop and talk to her, just watched while my mom checked in.) I wonder if we made some background shots!

We talked to her twice, and she was extremely friendly both times.
