New touring plans with FP+ changes?

For those of you that will be there soon, what strategies are you thinking of using with the recent Fast Pass+ changes? I thought I had my plan ready to go with the way it was before, but now I'm not so sure what's best. :confused3

I changed a couple days.

One day I was planning on going to MK at rope drop. I had FP+'s scheduled for 11-12, 12-1 and 1-2. I changed them to 9:30-10:30, 11:30-12:30 and 12:30-1:30. This is mostly because i'm going in Off season....week of May 10th.

I figure there's a pretty good chance, I will be able to get FP #4 and 5 maybe even 6....since it wont be that crowded.

On the other hand, we have DHS only scheduled for a half-da, with EPCOT in the morning and DHS in the evening. I have FP+ booked for DHS in the evening. I did NOT change that to have EPCOT FP+ in the morning and then "hope" to get multiple FP's for DHS....more important to just get the 3 FP at DHS that I know we want to do, since we'll be at EPCOT other days as well.

I wanted to try something similar, but I was worried that there wouldn't be any slots left after I've used up my 3 FPs.

I think it depends on what time you visit. If you're going mid-July, I wouldn't risk it. Just book the 3 FP+'s you care for the most, at a time that would save you the most time in line.

Off season it's an easier choice, because I figure even if it doesn't work out all that great, I still wont have to wait in line all that long for most things.

Thanks for the tip. I'm going in mid-May which seems to be a slow time according to some...

We're going at the end of July/early August. We go back to the resort every afternoon for a few hours to enjoy the pool and miss the crowds in the parks.

I haven't really gotten down to particulars, but I'm thinking right now:

I'll get a FP for about 11, 12, and 1 o'clock time slots, planning to use that 1 o'clock right after lunch. Then, if we're planning to return to the same park later, I'll take my chances on booking one for after dinner.

If that doesn't work on day 1, then I'll amend it on day 2.

But I have a good month before my 60 day window opens, so I'll be watching the Disboards to see whether that seems to work.

I realize it won't save me as much time as booking late afternoon, but I don't want to be in the parks at 3 or 4 pm-- that's always been well past the point of diminishing returns for us anyway.

But my first 3 FPs will be the important ones... anything beyond that will be an 'extra' that we will probably have already seen once anyway.
