use less water so they get clogged more!

The house we bought in March is 14 years old and therefore has the "old" toilets. I'm going to nurse those puppies along and make the last as long as possible. The new ones can't possible save that much water since they simply become "double flushers". :p

True, but if you get one of the more expensive ones, they have a siphoning action that makes it work a bit better.

LOL! We always say the ones at OKW are dangerous to let a small child use! I would be afraid they would get flushed down!

Yeah. Kind of makes it hard to discrete in the midst of the night while at WDW.......

We just put in a new bathroom and installed a Toto toilet. It is the best toilet I have ever had!!!!!!! And comfy on the tush too!!!!!;)

Please don't get me started on the new toilets. DH and I run a plumbing business, we do new houses only, so all we deal with are those things. You have to double flush some "things" or else. People call all the time and want to know why "things" are not going down very well.

As for Disney toilets, how about the ones on the cruise ship!:scared1:

I love our new ones...much better at flushing than the old ones. We just put in 2 new Kohler ones with the "Ingenium Flush System." Although they are different styles/models, both have that same mechanism. They work great!

I HATE the new toilet in my house and in my dorm. What is the point of less water if you need to flush a couple of times?

I'm so grossed out by these. The new toilet in my house, besides having a small amount of water, has a very uncomfy seat. I stick to the fourteen year old toilets in my house, thanks very much! :)

Ingenium Flushing System

Like a fine-tuned, high-performance engine, the Ingenium flushing system boasts the reliability associated with a commercial toilet while incorporating the enhanced style typical of Kohler Co. All KOHLER toilets are carefully crafted around the Ingenium flushing system and feature beautiful design in KOHLER colors to complement the décor of any bath or powder room.

Powerful complete flush: Every water channel works together as a system to create a powerful, complete flush. The powerful force of water dropping down from the tank builds momentum as it channels water through strategically placed rim holes and a plug-resistant siphon jet and out through a fully glazed 2-inch trapway. The result is a quiet, controlled flush that minimizes noise and splash while the sustained swirling motion of water rinses the bowl clean.
Sounds like a description of a new European sports car!!! :p :scratchin

Is anyone else reading this and remembering the LA Law episode with the "floaties"?

I hate our low-flows, but I love this thread!

I really hate having to warn guests about the hazard. I get some looks, but the last thing I want is a guest to have a major problem in there and freak out. When we have guests staying, I put the plunger in their bathroom for extra peace of mind.

I was told by a plumber that you can still buy the 'old' 5-gallon toilets. I thought they were banned.

I second that on the TOTO toilet too.

We had one put in by our plumber who said it was the best and low water usage. It works great.

We have a handicap one at work that is new by American Standard. Wow it's like being on a cruise ship. Make sure your standing when you flush, you could lose your insides!
