Hi everyone,

I am new to this whole thing. Can anyone explain to me how this works.
For example, I own a DVC membership in BWV. I have 12 points that will expire in Jan. 06. I would like to sell or trade them.
Someone asked me if these are transferrable. I thought all points were transferrable as long as you are in good standing.

What if someone is not a DVC owner? How do you apply the points in that case? :confused3 What do you use for a basic contract? Please guide me!

Many thanks to you all ahead of time.

Points that have not previously been banked or borrowed may be transferred to another member. If they can be transferred, they can also be banked into the next Use Year and used for your own reservations.

If they are points that have already been banked (or borrowed), they cannot be transferred and will expire at the end of your current Use Year if not used. They may be used to make a reservation for yourself or someone else. If 12 points will not be enough to make a reservation, you might need to borrow more points to be able to rent them effectively.

Non-members can rent a reservation from a member. The member will need to make the reseravtion using their points in the name of the renter. The contract does not have to be anything fancy- a simple email outlining the dates, room type, resort, payment arrangements and cancellation policy should suffice. It should also include language that indicates the renter agrees to abide by all rules of the resort.

Points, by themselves, are of no use to anyone except a DVC member.

Good luck!
