Hey all, DH and I are going 4/29-5/5 for our 12th anniversary. I'm not even 30 yet. We got married really young and we have made it this far! lol. i love this site and recently found all of these discussions on codes and what not. Can anyone tell me where to register to get special codes or where to register to get discounts through the mail? not sure how people get emails or recieve discounts through the mail. would like to enter my email and address, as we have been 3 times and will be going a lot more...at least once a year....any help? :yay:

What you need to do is call for a reservation and mention you have heard there are discount codes available and that they were attached to certain households - ask if you have one - ask if they know anything about a code for 40% off.

Go to http://disneysizeme.blogspot.com/ this belongs to one of the members here and you MIGHT find a code to try here.

Remember there is a lot of talk that this might be a glitch in Disney's system - but it has been going on for days and I think they could have corrected it by now if it was a glitch.

That's your problem. :) Going too often. The discount code apparently is not a frequent user club. It's 1) random and 2) caters to people who do not stay at WDW resorts often.

Sign up for every newsletter, junk mail. spam list, etc. Disney has to offer. Answer all the surveys and such. And perhaps stack your visit to the World every other year or maybe stay off site every other year (if you must visit the World once a year). Basically make yourself a target for marketing to want to woo back.

If you go multiple times a year, there is no reason for Disney marketing to target you. Like I said, this is all random and is not a "frequent miles" club.

I just wanted to say - this is just speculation correct? No one from Disney Marketing has come out and said this have they? I only ask because we go several times a year and this is the second pin code I've had attached to my household in the past couple of months.

That's the random part :) We all know marketing is pretty random!

I know when we do database queries at my normal day job (I don't really post to DIS all the time) :) for marketing campaigns, we target those people who last used our service/class several years ago and then target those who never used our service/class. We don't design marketing campaigns around people who use our service/class day in and day out. That belong to retention department.

Yes, that's just my opinion. YMMV.
