Hello all,
My first posting!! Wanted some advice as I am going to WDW in January of 2006 and will be celebrating my birthday (later 30's). Any suggestions as to special ways to celebrate?

Hello Carrie and welcome.....

A neat thing to do for your birthday is have a wonderful dinner at your fav. restaurant, view the fireworks of your choice and hang out at the Boardwalk. I hear the people you are going with are alot of fun..... :flower: :flower:

Get a Birthday button!!! They are free at all the parks and a great way to celebrate - usually a little pixie dust gets sent your way when you're wearing one!!! MK has the at City Hall, all other parks (and DTD) have them at Guest Relations.

Also, if you're staying on-site, tell the front desk that it's your birthday - you never know what may happen!!! And let any restaurants your dining at know also. Another thought (if you have the money) is a massage or other spa-related services - pamper yourself, it's your birthday!!!

Enjoy!!! :cool1:

you can share a fireworks cruise - go see the theme park forum for details and someone to share with if you want too!

do you own at DVC?

their are several of singles/couples/empty nesters who do.

I do own DVC. My home resort is Old Key West. I actually went to Disney by myself once a couple of years ago. This year I am celebrating my birthday for the first time ever at WDW and hoped to create some new magical memories. I am going with my sister and her husband. I tend to tag along with them but hey, they get to use the vacation club so I think it's a fair deal. So far all the ideas look great. I just want to do something fun and different but if you ask my sister, she'll tell you I just want to be the center of attention.

It's your birthday--You deserve to be the center of Attention.
Be sure to get a button at the parks--Extra Pixie dust will come your way
I ate at CP on my birthday and Eeyore started the "It's Your Special Day" song at my table, then the CM brought me a cupcake with a candle and the section sang Happy Birthday to me.
