New to this - Discount questions

I'm trying to get the hang of Universal! I've been trying to read the boards to do this but am still confused. I've signed up for a Fan Club card and a Loew's card. I tried to sign up for a Hard Rock membership but that didn't happen and I wasn't sure how important it is anyway since I haven't seen it mentioned. My questions are: Can you get any cities entertainment book and get the special rate in Orlando? Nashville does have a Loew's hotel but I'm not sure the book has a card in the front as one posted stated it needed. When you sign up for the Loew's card it states that a free upgrade is involved. Is that every time, automatically? Third, is there a site out there like Mousesavers that posts the discounts regularly? Finally, can you get a video like Disney puts out that explains the whole Universal package, parks and all resorts and where could I order it. I love the internet but also like to look at actual pictures and read info too so brochures would be something I'm also looking for and can't seem to find a place to order them! Thanks for you help!

To answer your question about the Entertainment Book, yes, you can buy the book for any city and use it for the hotels listed in Orlando.
Call the hotels and see if the entertainment rate is available for your dates. If so, book the room and buy the book. Just bring your entertainment card with you for check in.

definitely check if you can get ent rates for the dates you want before you buy the book, but if you don't succeed the first ry, don't give up. They release new rooms at ent rate all the time. I tried for a few weeks calling every couple of days, and eventually got ent rate for 7 nights. This was about 2 1/2 months prior to my trip.

The book will have a removable card in the front when you get it, and don't forget they are $10 off with free shipping right now.
