I am trying to understand about printing shirts and this board. People have posted pictures that appear to be put on shirts, but how do I get them? Do you pay for the design? I was trying to figure out a shirt for our family group going in Dec. (13 of us) with a Christmas picture for the Christmas party. I am not crafty at all and dont know how in the world you get a picture off the computer and on to a shirt. Please excuse my dumbness, but any help would be appreciated. I also saw a shirt on the big sticky thread of designs that said something like "my parents love me and gave me The World for my Birthday". I thought that was cute, but would like to have one say "My Memaw loves me so much she gave me The World for Christmas" since we are going in Dec. and Memaw is paying for this. This is what I tell my DD7 all the time (Memaw is giving you Disney World for Christmas) so she will understand why no presents from Memaw on Christmas Day. Any suggestions for that shirt?
Thanks for the help

Okay, do I have to have some special software package to get the desings off the computer? I read some of the information from the link, but am not that clued into computer things. I dont know if we have anything like that and I dont want to invest a huge amount of money into something new. Or do I need special paper from the craft or office supply store? Im so confused. Everyone makes it look so easy. Thanks for any help.

The software like Photoshop and stuff is needed only if your designing the designs..

Basicly if all you want to do is take a design and put in on are...

1.
computer with any image software (like paint) and that i believe is on EVERY computer. so no worry there.

2.
Printer, any good inkjet printer will do.

3.
Transfer paper. (can get this from a craft store, or even wal-mart) They have two kinds, light and dark transfer paper.. depends on what kind of pic your useing and what color shirt, MOST use dark transfer paper.
Tranfer paper is basicly a sheet you can print and then Iron on to a shirt.

4.
Shirt and Iron.

Then, find out who designed the pic you want if you can, and ask them nicely if they can change the wording to the way you want it. (its easiest for them to do cause they should have the files/fonts they used and can change the wording fairly easy.

They if they can't do it, cause they busy or whatever they are plenty of us that can do it for you also.

THEN! VERY IMPORTANT!!!

Read the instructions for getting the shirt ready, and the iron on instructions.

Should be in the faq somewhere.

And don't worry.. it isn't really that hard :)
