Im calling to book our vacation tomorrow and need some advise. I would like to take advantage of the spring specials if I book our stay in April. Im wondering what the weather is like in April for example....the water parks.......it is warm enough to enjoy them or is it a waste of $ and stick to the hopper passes? Secondly, we thought of waiting till the wk of July 19, we know its warm at this time of the year, but we are wondering about crowds. Which month would the experienced disners recommend? April or July.

Thanks in advance for your help,

When in April do you want to go. Easter is crowded. The week leading up to and immediately after. I am talking close the gates crowded. The end of April should be pretty good as far as crowds go. The weather in April is great. It should be plenty hot enough for water parks. In 2002, we went the 2nd week of April it hit 90 5 out of 10 days. The rest of the days were in the mid 80's. As for July the whole month is pretty busy. And you are talking downright hot-- not just warm. If you can avoid Easter I'd pick April. However, personally, if Easter week is the one in the works I'd go with July. It would be the lesser of the evils:p !!

I'm looking at thw week of April 12.

Thanks for your quick response,

This year Easter is on April 11th. The crowds for most of that week will be horrendous. I mean, it won't be unusual for the MK gates to close. We were there like I said in 2002 (when travel was still low after 9/11) We arrived 8 days after Easter. The bus drivers at Disney were telling us that for 4 days after Easter they had to stop letting people into 3 of the parks due to being at capacity. I would in all honesty wait until July. I don't mind decent crowds, but not wall to wall crowds. July is still going to be busy, but I don't think as busy.

Let me advise you if you are looking at booking for the Disney Dreammaker Spring special rate or the Spring rate for room only the reservations must be made by 10pm tonight Feb 9th the offer expires today.....and is good for dates up to April 17th if you can find rooms available at that rate.
There is another discount rate out now for FtWilderness cabins good up to June 5th arrivals but must be booked by March 31st. believe the rate is $169.00 per night.

The weather has been so iffy this year all over , if you are looking for warmer swim weather than you might want to consider the July months....but then you have to deal with higher peak season rates, and much larger crowds.... so its six of one and a half a dozen of the other, both have pros and cons. You just have to decide which is more in your interest with them.......
Good luck .

I would vote for the end of April. Easter is too busy for me. It takes alot of joy out of the parks when it's too crowded. I don't want to pay all that money to spend half the day waiting in line.

July would be fine if you don't mind the heat. We are talking easy high 90's. It makes for a very long day especially with young kids.

I know that most of the discount codes listed right now on mousesavers.com will end in April. But, new ones usually come out right away for something.

Good luck!

Chris
