Hi yall!

Im Katie ( I just signed up lol)

My boyfriend and I are planning a trip to DW in Nov. This will be my first trip :)there and out of the country ( Were from Ontario, Canada)

We are looking for help suggestions tips for tickets, hotels flights etc!

I want to book in a Disney resort ( cheaper the better) for all the little perks with the Magic band. I know tickets are cheap for undercover tourist website. We want to be able to book somehow cheap for the free dinning plan.
Maybe we should do all days Disney and come back another time for Universal studios and sea world?

Travel agent or plan ourselfs?!

I know im all over the place and still have months to go, but I personally want to be able to have things paid for and set in place by September

Hi Katie!

Welcome to the DIS and I know you'll have a blast on your first WDW trip.

Depending on where you are in Ontario, the cheapest flights are to actually drive to Buffalo and fly out from there, rather than from Pearson. If I didn't have to come from Calgary that would be my plan.

Personally, for your first trip, I recommend staying at Disney and do Universal another time. I did both on my last trip but I've been to Disney several times so I knew that I had seen/done everything I had planned.

If you want to book Free Dining I recommend trying for it immediately. I know at least 2 of the resorts are sold out for Free Dining, just not sure which ones.

Lowest price resorts would be the All-Star Resorts. I personally can't imagine doing Disney staying offsite but that's just me. I love POP and Riverside and I'm staying Riverside solo in October/November but Riverside is not in the Free Dining option this time around.

Hope this helps!

Yes! Thank you! It has. I think we will just stick with Disney and try everything else at a later date. Im guessing you have to pay right away when booking?

I read somewhere that you have to book by Aug 8th for the free dinning

If you book directly through Disney on the phone or the web site you pay $200 up front and the balance 45 days before the trip starts.
