New to the Board/Vendor questions

Hey there!
My name is Juliana and I just joined the board. My DF(disney fiance?) is James and he proposed on 12.12.11. We are having our wedding on 2.10.13 at the WP.
The reception was to be in the NB but I've had a change of heart and am trying to get it changed to GF.

Right now I'm looking at vendors and am torn between
David and Vicki Arndt Photography and
Randy Chapman Photography
Any thoughts?

Also has anyone used About Face for hair and makeup its one of the companies on the Disney Preferred vendor list?

We went back and forth for a long time, but ending up choosing Randy and are very happy with our photos.

All of Randy's photos are gorgeous. I really like David and Vickis also. She was soooo nice when I talked to her on the phone. I have a feeling we will be back and forth before deciding as well!!

We LOVE LOVE David and Vicki!! They are so amazing! You will not go wrong with anyone you choose but I highly recommend D and V!!!

They did our E-pics back in April 2010, Family Pics in August 2011, and are about to finally do our wedding pics in June 2012.

I couldn't imagine anyone else capturing our day. I personally don't like the style and too much editing that Randy does to his pictures.

Randy doesn't edit nearly as much as he used to. This has actually been discussed in a pretty recent thread. We got 5 CDs of photos and not one photo had any special edits.

Different styles will appeal to different people. You just have to decide what style you prefer.

And I really hope this thread doesn't turn into a "my photographer is better than your photographer" thing.

Our wedding has not happened yet but we chose Randy Chapman for photography, he has been great so far and very easy to talk to. We choose Beaute Special for hair and make up, I feel pretty confident with them, I have spoken to them a ton of times (I used to eb a hair stylist and am kinda picky) and Im not even doing a trial - thats how much I am putting my trust in them.

I have read a ton of great reviews about Beaute Speciale! I am def going to check them out!

I went with Randy and Beaute Speciale. Aside from having great experiences with both on the day another important thing for me was ease of contact. If I emailed and asked any questions both responded the same day, or morning of the next business day. This was so important to me because I found the closer we got to the day the longer/if at all other vendors would respond to emails or questions.

I plan to use Randy for pics during our next trip. If I decide on make up again I'd go with Beaute without a doubt.

We brought our photographers from home but I've heard good things about both the Ardnt's and Randy. A lot of girls here really love Regina Hyman also, she's currently a Disney photographer but is going on her own this fall. I agree it's about their style and you should go with which one yogi like best!!

We used beaute speciale too and I didn't have a trial first. They were awesome!
