Hi everyone! I wanted to introduce myself & I have a question for everyone.

My name is Anna, my FI & I got engaged in June of this year. We are getting married @ the WP (5pm) & GF Grand Ballroom. Which leads me to my question. The guest list is up to 140ish I think, and everyone is an out of towner.

Can you suggest a RD/Welcome Dinner location for 80 people? My FI & I like the Living Seas bc we wanted our Reception there. Due to our guest #s that was not a choice. Yet we think his parents are not going to want to spend the 15,000 min for a Friday night. I was thinking the Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show @ the Poly. Thoughts on that? Suggestions?

I am open for all!

Thanks

Welcome! :wave2:

How about a dinner and/or dessert party and IllumiNations viewing in Italy or France at Epcot? Or will you be having one on your wedding day?

We are watching the MK fireworks @ the GF Marina, havent completed planned if it will be DP or just drinks bc we have the ballroom till 11 & then we are leaving from the Grand 1 Yacht as our exit.

Hmmm I wonder if there is a limit on people for the restaurants. I would say Ohana's.

I have never did the Spirit of Aloha, that sounds like it would be fun for a big group.
Is there a limit you inlaws are going to spend...I think the dessert party would be cool, also the cruise is a good idea too.

I think I remember somebody having a welcome party on the beach near the beach club where that ship is on the beach..it might be the Yacht Club.

DisneyNYBride,
For your SBP dinner w/ 80 guests, Do the min food/bev still apply or do they offer something else?

I don't believe I had to reach any minimums. That definitely never came up. I told them my pp price range and we customized a buffet based on what I told them we wanted. And we're having a guitar player/singer for music.

Sea Breeze Point has a $1,000 food and beverage minimum, but that shouldn't be hard to hit with 80 guests. :thumbsup2

We're having our Rehearsal Dinner at the Living Seas Salon on a Saturday night. The minimum for us is $3,500 - it seems that should be the same for Friday and Saturday night.

DisneyElite4,

Really? What night of the week? How many people? They told us that the normal 15000 min would apply if choose the Living Seas??

No venue at WDW has a $15,000 food & beverage minimum.

Perhaps your planner was referring to the $15,000 overall expenditure minimum for holding your wedding on a Friday.....

Living Seas Salon has a food and beverage minimum of $2,450 for events before 4 pm and $3,500 for events after 4 pm every day of the week. The venue-rental fee is $500.

Anna2984,

Yes, really! :)

What lurkyloo said is true. In our contract it states exactly what she wrote, word for word. We are having 50-60 people, beginning at 5:30 p.m. on a Saturday night in June. Our minimum expenditure for the F&B is $3,500 - so $4,000 total with the venue rental fee added on. We won't be doing any additional decor, lighting or entertainment, so we are hoping to stay right at $4,000. We will be using the existing music that plays in the room - we were told we could bring in CDs with the songs we wanted to play and utilize the small TVs to play a DVD at no additional cost.

Well thank ask you ladies! I will be calling to ask Diane a couple more questions then!
