This is our first time using Southwest and I'm wondering if I need to print anything out to take to the airport with us (I did purchase Early Bird Check-in) or do I just need to have our confirmation numbers?

EBCI will get you checked in 36 hours before your flight. You CAN go online anytime starting 24 hours before your flight to see your boarding numbers and print out boarding passes in advance, but it's not necessary. You can get your BPs printed at the airport when you check your bags and will still get the same numbers.

If you aren't checking any bags printing your BPs in advance definitely will save you some time at the airport as you can skip check in there and go straight to security with your BPs. If you have bags to check some airports have "express" lines for people who already have their BPs. The "express" lines may or may not be any shorter or faster than the regular lines.

I didn't purchase Early Bird Check In, but now with my savings from Free Dining, I wanted to add them to my trip, do you know how you do that - do I need to call?

You can do it online. At the top where it says "Air, Hotel, Cars, Vacations", put your cursor over the "Air" tab. You'll get a pop up box showing all the options. Select EarlyBird Check-in. It will take you to where you can add EarlyBird. Just need your confirmation number and a passenger name. Just follow the steps from there.

May also want to consider curb side check-in as well. Most of the time when DW and I use it, there's hardly ever any wait.

Exactly what I needed to know! Thank you for the help.

Also a possibility if it's available. SWA does not charge extra for curbside check in (although many airlines now do), but it still is customary to tip the skycaps $1-2 per bag for their service.
