We are new to RVing and will be bringing our 27' motorhome to Disney in May. We have reservations at AKL but may want to extend our stay at an outside the park hotel (too many of us to sleep comfortable in MH) I am not worried about parking it at Disney, but I am worried about parking it at an outside hotel. Has anyone had a problem with their MH being broken into while parked at a hotel? This probably sounds silly, but it worries me :) Any tips to avoid this from those with experience? I was looking at getting the window and door alarms that make noise.

I've been in your situation many times and there are several solutions.

A) Stay at a hotel with decent security and park there.

B) Buy a spot, leave your rig at a low cost private RV park, one with plenty of guests of the retired persuasion.

C) Quite a few of the private campgrounds have dry camp or storage rates, Tropical Palms for one (at least it has in the past). People leave their rigs there and go on cruises etc. all of the time.

It's great that Disney has our confidence. Be careful WHERE you park it... be sure you're not in a dark area, with a wooded area behind, that would make for a quick get away. When you park, try to keep it highly visible.
