Although we have been to Disney several times, my kids just started collecting pins on our July trip. We bought several, and during our trip we found that several of the metal backs kept falling off.

My questions are:
1. Will the black rubber backs be better and not fall off?
2. If they are, can I buy them seperate from pins? I have a few pins without any backs.

Thanks!

Welcome to the money pit... ooops... I mean the Wonderful World of Pin Trading! :smooth:

1. Yes... the black rubber backs are far superior to the metal ones. I suspect that is the reason that Disney changed over to the rubber ones.

2. Last time I bought them they were $1 for a dozen.... that was a couple of years ago. Haven't needed to buy any since.

Remember when you trade, don't give away a rubber back. The CMs usually offer if you don't think of it.

About the money pit comment..... There really is some truth to it. It is VERY addicting and the costs go up very quickly, especially if you buy them one at a time. You will acquire a pile of pins and a large bill to come home to.
If you are interested in pin trading, go over to EBAY and buy a bunch of pins. You can find pins for less than $3 each. If you are lucky, you can get them even cheaper. That helps defray some of the costs.

Enjoy!
