New to pin trading and I have a question.

Hi all! I am planning a trip for myself and my two younger children who will be 10 and 7 when we go to WDW. When I started planning the trip I will admit to feeling overwhelmed and getting caught up in the whole craziness of trying to decide on where to eat. At some point I said to myself, "This is sheer lunacy! I need to put the brakes on and re-evaluate what I want out of this trip."

So, after thinking about it I realized I didn't want to spend my time worrying about hurrying up to get to the next dining reservation. Nope, I'll make two or three reservations and just let the rest happen.

Which leads me to pin trading (and pressed pennies). Now this is something that seems like it will be fun for my kids.

I thought I would go to the Disney store in NYC and get some pins to bring on the trip. Do you think people would like trading for pins that have something saying NYC Disney (or something like that) on them? Is it even allowed?

I would personally love to trade for NYC pins, but as your kids are only 10 and 7, I'd say it's a better idea to stick to trading with cast members. You can find some pretty good traders over at your local brick and mortar store.

LOL! I guess when I said people I meant cast members, although if someone else wanted to trade with them at the parks that would be OK too.

Am I understanding the whole trading concept with cast members correctly? The kids can trade two of their pins for two cast member pins, correct or incorrect?

That's right. Two pins per cast member, per day and they can't accept the trade if they have the same pin on their lanyard already.
