Can some one explain to me what the meal vouchers are, how you get them and how are they used.

Also, I tried to get on both connections123.com and dealpass.com and both did not work. Is there another site that sells things think this or not.

Can I use these if I stay at Swan?

Thanks,

Jason,
When you log on to connections123 or dealpass, they don't tell you ANY information. You need to join before you get info. I'm not sure why they do that, but you can get all the info you want here.

You can use these at the swan because they are for meals or park tickets. Although none of the swan restaurants are on the vouchers, the beach club and yacht club are, plus the park restaurants.

About the vouchers:

There are 3 types of meal vouchers you can buy from Connections123. This is a "club" you must join for $79.95/year. (They have other offers that may make it worth your while to be a member.) OR you can join for a trial period of 1 month for $1. You can sign up, order vouchers, then cancel within a month for only $1 fee. (some have posted that the company charged them the $79.95 fee anyway and had to fight to get their money back.)

There are 3 types of vouchers
1. Quick and Casual vouchers for $11.25 - good at selected counter service locations in the parks and at resorts for both lunch and dinner. YOu get a combo meal with drink and dessert.
2. Breakfast feature vouchers for $17.75 - good for selected breakfast locations including character meals. You get one buffet breakfast or juice, main breakfast dish, hot beverage and bakery item.
3. Vacation Kingdom Lunch vouchers for $30.50 - good for selected sit down restaurants in the parks and at resorts for lunch only. You get appetizer, entree, dessert, and non-alcoholic beverage.

These all include TAX and TIP.

My editorials about these:
1. The breakfast vouchers are a good deal for any character breakfast, but especially the princess ones (that are $19.99). Remember the price of the voucher includes tax and tip. You'd have to price it out whether it would be worth it for a non-character breakfast (like at the food court). I haven't checked into that.

2. The Quick and Casuals may or may not save you money. There are some locations where you can really come out ahead (Beaches & Cream at the Beach Club and Pepper Market at Coronado Springs). Most other times you may break even. You have to use them wisely to get the most for your money. Check out the menus and prices on www.wdwig.com to see if you would save money.

3. The Vacation Kingdom Lunch vouchers may or may not save you money. If you eat your big meal of the day at lunch, you might come out ahead. The $30.50 seems like a lot to me for lunch, but if this is your big meal, that might be ok. I personally could never eat all that food myself, so it may be worth it for me if I share with someone. Again, check out the menus and prices at the restaurants to see if you would come out ahead. I have heard of people getting a good deal at Rainforest Cafe, Concourse Steakhouse and LeCellier.

Some people buy these not necessarily to save money, but as a way to prepay for food. I have some that I have purchased with webcertificates that I received in various reward programs. That way it feels like I am "eating for free" or at least cheaply. It also doesn't seem like such a shock when you see that vacation bill at the end of the trip.

All of the prices I listed above are for adults. There are children prices available for the lunch vouchers ($12.75) and the breakfast vouchers ($11).

Also, NEVER buy these off of ebay. They go for WAYYY more than they are worth. You would be better off just paying for the food with cash.

You also need to keep in mind the cost of the membership, if you don't cancel during trial period. They also sell blockbuster cards, restaurant gift cards, six flags gift cards, movie theater gift cards, etc. at a discount of $2 off every $10, for example.

I hope this answers some of your questions.

Maggie

The breakfast ones were a good deal at Boma too, because we were able to get the press pot of coffee included. We really like good coffee! It's also a good breakfast & worth the trip if you're going to be visiting the AKL anyway.

For one person, you have to be a big eater to get the most out of the vouchers. A lot of people share meals, using 1 Q&C counter service voucher & adding on another item to supplement. You usually can just order the entree without the sides, although it may not be on the menu.

If you are a water drinker who rarely eats dessert, you won't spend as much as the vouchers on a typical meal.

There is usually a $1 trial offer for connections. You can join for $1, order your vouchers, then cancel after you get them. They arrive quickly, usually within 2 days to a week.
