New to kid's food allergy

My little allergy guy is only 2, so he can't carry it. We have 3 sets, one stays in the house, one in my purse and one at Grandma's house. If I leave him with someone outside of our home, I leave the set from my purse. My insurance won't approve all 3 sets at once, but we were able to stagger them.

I actually just got a 3rd set for Grandma's house. I've been good at remembering it lately, but found that going to Grandma's is when i'd forget the most. He visits often, and is always eating there!

I agree with getting multiple epi-pens (although ours aren't cheap). I use a Crystal Light plastic container to put an epi pen and a bottle of benadryl in, the Crystal Light box is the best thing I have found to keep leakage to a minimum. I leave these everywhere our children frequent, church, grandma's, aunt's, school, and I keep 2 in my purse. My kids have always carried them. My son has a small pull string backpack he grabs on the way out, and my daughter has a cross body bag. (do not leave bags in the car, I have ruined many epi-pens this way)
It takes practice and a lot of routine, but you will get used to carrying it with you. Soon, it will be like going out with out shoes, you will stop and run back in and grab it.
I hope your little one doesn't develop anymore, but I am glad you are ready for the possibility.
