New to FW cabins...a few questions

This will be a first time at the FW cabins and I have a few questions. We have 4 young kids ages 7, 3, almost 2 and 9 mo. What would be the best cabin location to request? We want to be close to a bus stop right? We will have a rental car but I think we want to use disney transportation if at all possible.

Has anyone heard what the campfire movies will be for November?

We are going to be at FW cabins Nov 7-12. We will be at the pop in 2 rooms the 5-6...couldn't get a cabin. Thanks for all your help.

Hi! You're going to have a great time in FW!!

I don't think the movies for November have been released yet, but keep checking back on this board - they'll show up in the next couple of days!

Loops 2200, 2600, and 2800 are all close to the bus stops. You should be fine just using the resort transportation - we park our car and don't move it til we check out!

a few days before you go call Ft. WIlderness and ask them to have you near a bus stop. Down in the I think the loops are 2300 (not sure) but there is a pool area and a bus stop. WE usually try to stay in that area.
IF you request them to put you upfront in a loop because of circumstances ahead of time they usually will be accomodating.

One tip if you get a disney employee that is not cooperative that is the exception. Just try later and 9Xs out of 10 you will get a cast member who will do what is necessary to give you what you want.

You will lOVE the cabins with kids! You can get videos down at the outpost, the front of the cabin has a vcr. WIth kids its SO much nicer than being in a hotel room.

We love the cabins and so do my children ages 2-10.

This past summer we stayed at POP on our first night(travel day), in two rooms. POP was fun but very crowded and we were so happy to settle into the cabin.

Some loops are very large, so you may want to request a cabin 2-3 into the loop. That way you will be closer to the buses. It can be a long walk from the back of the loop.

We have stayed in the 2400 and 2700 loops. The 2400 was our favorite. Many people like the 2500 loop.

We used WDW transport to MK and drove to all the other parks. It was easier to drive(free parking) when we had 2 in strollers.

And you may already know this but bring filters for the coffee pot, cups for the bathroom, and salt and pepper. I also like to bring a cookie sheet (in the bottom of my suitcase if I have to) for frozen pizza and Pillsbury cookies.

Feb is cool in Florida. Bugs will be minimal. Mosquitos not existant since they don't like the cold.

I've stayed in the cabins during Feb/March for YEARS.

Matter of fact I'm going to FW cabins tommorow!!!!!!

The bug questions got me thinking. Do I need to be concerned about bugs in June?

Maybe at least mosquito repellant for the movies at night.

We go in late July, early August. We always bring bug spray and use it when we are sitting out on the deck or going to the campfire program.

When going in June, it wouldn't hurt to pack it just in case.

Do we need to bring extra dishes? How many are provided? Are pots and pans provided? We are driving so we were thinking about bringing our pizza oven and such.

IF you don't see things that should be there call house keeping. We rented a cabin 2wks ago and alot of the house wear stuff was NOT there. Don't know if someone stole it or what. We went to fry eggs and NO skillet.
