We are new to the FW experience. The last trip we took was in 97 and we stayed at the CB for 5 nights. Our boys were 6 and 9 at the time. We will now be traveling with boys 17 & 14 and our 3 yr old daughter. We will be at FW in a cabin July 24 through 30. I have requested a cabin in the 2500 loop, and the boys and I are very excited about the trip. My daughter is very much into the Disney princesses, mostly Cinderela. If any one has some advise for our stay I would be very thankful. TChris in SC

Welcome

Hit parks early and go back to cabin for lunch and pool and return later. Have some lightweight rain ponchos with you for the showers.

Enjoy and then enjoy some more.

Would your boys like taking out those little speed boats? They look like a lot of fun. Do you have any character meals scheduled? Since your daughter is a Cinderella fan there is always the breakfast at CRT and now they have a lunch there too and there is the Cinderella dinner at the GF. I hope you have a great trip. You're there the week after us.

If you can spare the extra money, I suggest renting a golf cart to ride around the campgrounds. We had so much fun scooting around on our cart :moped: that I think we'll rent one every time we stay at FW from now on. I hope you and your family have a blast at FW!! :earsgirl:

I believe that we will reserve a golf cart, The boys are very excited about the trip. I havn't told my daughter yet that we are going to WDW, we will tell her when we get there. The biggest trick will be to get my wife half as excited as the rest of us are. She thinks it will be to hot and to crowded the time we are going. The rest of us love the thought of flip flops, swimming pools, water parks and lots of fun. Only 41 more days till our trip.

I am so jealous ;)

We have been the past 2 summers and are skipping this year. You will LOVE the cabins. There are awesome.

Check out the Campfire Sing-along and movie nightly. It is so much fun. You can roast marshmallows(bring your own, or buy some there), and see Chip & Dale.

We make a grocery stop - stocking up on water, juice boxes, breakfast stuff, etc. We get water carriers and each child grabs a water and their own strap/holder. That way we don't have to stop to buy water along the way. Alos, it is great to toss a waffle in the toaster for the kids, while mommy takes a shower.

There is a outdoor charcoal grill too. DH loved having a cookout on our cabin deck.

We have never used the golf carts - very expensive, plus they wouldn't hold of family of 7.

We had our own car with us. We used WDW transportation(bus/boat) to get to Magic Kingdom and then we drove to all the other parks. So much easier for us with 2 in strollers.

It is going to be hot and it probably will rain alot(usually does during that time of year). But, heck it is hot and humid at home too....so we might as well be at WDW.

Have a great trip. :flower:
