New to Ebay--Shipment not received

I sold a few things on Ebay before Christmas to help with our upcoming trip to WDW. I shipped an item to California from Wisconsin on Tuesday December 28th. As of Monday January 10, they have not received it yet. I
sent it standard mail so parcel post and I did not have a tracking number for it. I know--first mistake. What do I do now? Could it take this long due to the holidays? I will reimburse if they don't get it.

While it is unusual it is not completely unheard of for an item to take this long to arrive. It has only really been 10 mailing days since you shipped it. I would not get too worried yet.

Was the package insured?

On one of my ebay discussion boards alot of sellers have the same thing happening so you aren't the only one. The post office doesn't consider the package lost until after 30 days and packages are being held up because of all the storms over the holidays and right afterwards. So if you sent it out on the 28th, it could easily been caught up in the mess of holiday packages that were delayed due to the weather. Don't forget that mail didn't run on the 31st either and parcel takes 10 or more days anyways. I wouldn't worry yet. Did you get DC?
