New to DVC !

Well my husband and I took the plug this morning and bought 160 points at BLT!!! We have been yearly visitors since our honeymoon and with 2 kids (2 1/2 and 11 months) we figured now is as good a time as any!!! That being said I would love to hear some of the tips all you experienced DVC'ers have! I am very overwhelmed with all of this and would love some insider advice!!! Looking forward to my first DVC stay Fall 2010!!!

Congratulations to you and your family. We've been going to WDW since 2005, and on Monday [5/18/09], we also became DVC members. Our home resort is the Bay Lake Towers. Even though we love to stay at the Epcot resorts, we got a great deal on the 240 points we bought at the BLT.

My family bought into DVC during a 2007 Disney cruise in July. We were originally holding off making a purchase until BLT was announced but Disney was offering some great incentives at that time we couldn't refuse. Another thing that motivated us to go ahead and buy was my recent annual summary from my credit card company. We realized how much we were spending on our yearly visits and discovered DVC would save us money, lots of money. Buying into DVC has been one of the smartest things we have ever done. No regrets!

We too are new members - effective yesterday! My husband and I took our first trip last year (38 years old for me and had NEVER been to WDW before!) and I just fell in love with it all. We don't have children and thought this would be the perfect way for us to vacation, not only at WDW but through the RCI - all over the world! So please - feel free to give advice, as us newbies are a bit overwhelmed and unsure of the whole process!
