New to DVC

Hi everybody...
I am new to the DVC. I made my purchase during my December trip. I am very excited about it, but a little nervous.
Was anyone else nervous when they did it. Did it get better, no regrets??

I am also curious about a DVC cruise I heard about. Is it a yearly thing? Is it worth using points for? Do they email the invite?

First off HOME!

I too was very nervous when I first purchased but now that we are getting ready to leave and stay at SSR I am more comfortable with it. I think with any purchase this big there are bound to be some concerns all around. The only thing I can tell you is it gets better and the only long term regret I have heard of from the DVC members I know is that they wished they had bought sooner.

As for the crusies I have never done them so I will let someone else respond.

Using points to book anything other than DVC resorts is usually considered not getting the best value for your money.

Congratulations!

I felf the same too when we bought into DVC. We are from the UK and a reliant on reasonably priced flights( in the school vacation !) so it can be a bit nerve racking!

Our first visit to our home resort, SSR was in Aug 07. We also managed to fit in a Disney Cruise with the points - and let me tell you it was absolutely fabulous. It made us realise what a wonderful thing we had purchased and we are returning this year, with my sister and her kids to AKV ( hopefully).

So put your worries aside because you will have a ball!
