Okay - so I am possibly planning a trip to DL for February of 2010. I'm looking for any hints or rumors of possible discounts for that time. there will be four adults on this trip - two of us have been do WDW several times and two have never been to any Disney park (gasp). If this trip happens I want to plan the best trip ever so there will be more to any Disney park in the future.

How is the dining at DL? Any recommendations - should we purchase vouchers or just wing it. I do want to make reservations at a character event (best way to see the characters even for adults).

What about hotels - on property or off?

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

If your looking for a more budget friendly trip then I would suggest staying offsite. I would try looking into the Howard Johnson hotel. They usually have an entertainment rate that you can take advantage from. Its very close to the park (Within walking distance) and is around a lot of restaurants. Mimi's Cafe being right beside the Hojo, and is highly recommended by most Disboarders. Their food is to die for with servings the size of watermelons, and their prices are excellent.

May I also suggest looking into a flight and hotel combo through either getawaytoday, orbitz, or travelocity? You can usually get a really good deal for both as paying seperate for flight and hotel can sometimes come to more then paying together.

Also as for tickets, I am going to suggest looking into getawaytoday. They have some excellent prices (Cheaper then going directly through Disney). I also found that if your living in the USA, then go to flight center Canada to get your tickets. Like Getawaytoday you get vouchers sent to your email, as well as in the post mail. Take those to the ticket booth at Disneyland and they hand you your park ticket. Also going to a Canadian site gives you the chance to convert your money so your paying less.

As for Disney Dining, you are going to want to keep in mind that Disney takes Priority Seating starting 60 days prior to your vacation. Goofy's Kitchen is amazing food and character interaction. Or if you want something really girly, then I recommend Ariels Grotto for a Princess meal.

what about disney information sites - I've already gathered information from mousesavers.com and the dis boards - any others

Thanks for the post.
