I'm new to the board and planning my family's first vacation to WDW this December. I want to do all the cutesy things I"m seeing, but I"m so confused! I've tried them and can't make anything work. Is there anyone who makes things like invitations, envelopes, autograph books...etc....I don't even know what all!!! for a fee? I understand that you can't charge for the designs b/c of copyright. Can I pay for the service of making it and sending it to me? Sorry if this is frowned upon here, I really don't get this stuff. I want to make our trip special but I don't think I have the creativity to pull this off.

No, no one can charge nor do they make them for someone else. All, you do need to do a tee shirt is a design from one of these creative people and get transfer sheets, a printer and you are all set. All printers are a bit different, so that is where there maybe a problem. However, once you request a design, and have the transfer sheets you are all set. Please remember to just post a request for anyone, or if someone that already has the design you want, just be sure NOT to ask another designer for the same idea. At the top of this board you will find a sticky and the designers names are there with a link to their designs. You however, can ask for something you would really like and haven't seen here But, with all the awesome talent on here, I am sure you will have enough or should I say, more than enought to pick from:) M_I_C_K_E_Y has the best transfers that I have found, just look for her design thread and scroll down and there is a link to order the transfers. She is super quick at getting the orders out as well :) Keep asking questions and I know there are many helpful people on here that are willing to assist a newbie:) Good Luck:) Don't be afraid to ask as many questions as you need to...

Well said Marilyn. :thumbsup2

OP - Where do you live? What is it exactly you want? We can give you specific directions on how to print t-shirts, cards, invitations, etc. Tell us what you want, and we'll help you achieve it.:wizard:

Thanks Scooby! I want invitations to each character dinner, a 'you've been good note' for each day, and idk what else :) I am new to this! I don't think I want any shirts, just paper products. Do I print them myself? I'm confused. I've seen so much cute stuff that I love, but I havn't been able to change the names and date. I also want to make an autograph book on snapfish, I think I have that figured out though. I just download the pages I want and upload them on snapfish, correct? thanks so much.

There are several DISigners who do the character dinner cards, and also autograph books. The best thing to do is look at the sticky thread that has each designer and what they "specialize" in. Also, do a generic search on these two things. Most of this has already been designed, and there is no need to reinvent the wheel.

A lot of people use snapfish, and really like them. I have not personally used them. I like to take things to Kinko's, UPS store, or a copy place. It is far easier for them to use their ink and paper, and cheaper too. Each place like that has different ways to accept their files. Some will do email, so you just email the file how you wanted printed. Some like them on a disc, etc.

If you find a design that you like, ask the designer to personalize it for you. If they are no longer designing, most of us can help out. Mel has amazing stuff like "you've been good" notes, or blanks to put the wording. I can also design something.

The best place to start is to look in the "photobuckets" or "4shared" files of different designers. It will give you all kinds of ideas. There are some amazingly talented people just ready and waiting to create.

Hope this helps, keep asking questions, there is a lot to learn....:goodvibes
