Hey everyone!
How are you all? I'm looking to plan a trip for my SO, DD (17 months), and I, and had some questions. I've been to disney workd a few times, but this will be my 1st time booking it myself TIA.
What are the best deals disney.com offer?
Is it better to book air fare with disney.com or a diffrent travel agency?
What are the best character dinning for a child under 2 obsessed with Mickey:love:, and how far in advance do you need to reserve?
What are the best dining meal plans if you want to do character dinning?

That's all I can think of for now, i'm sure i'll have more questions later

Hi,

Disney is offering a couple of deals right now. They have "book by" dates, and "travel by" dates. One is a package offer, with a free gift card, $300, 500, & 750, depending on which resort you choose. The other is a "room only" discount, (tickets & dining can be added) the % off depends on the resort and length of stay.

Go to the WDW site and click on Special Offers. You MUST go through the Special Offer link to receive the discount. If you call, you must know and ask for the discount code to be applied. Discount codes are listed on this site, and another, very handy and easy to use site - mousesavers.

When booking on-line, make sure you check which features you want, the Disney site will sometimes automatically add extra features you may not want, such as... the Park Hopper ticket option and Trip Insurance, etc. Simply "un-check" anything you don't want added in.

As for airfare... NO, it is generally not a good idea to book flights through Disney. I think a list of options will come up, but you can usually find better fares by booking separately.

To narrow down the best airfare, run your dates through a booking engine... Kayak, Booking Buddy, Expedia, etc, but DON'T book through the site, if possible, because you will committed to their terms and conditions, as well as the airline's. Once you find a flight that works for you, go directly to that airlines site and see if you can get that same flight and fare.

You can make Advance Dining Reservations, (ADR's) 180 days in advance. You can do this on the Disney site or by calling. Most people like to look at the Park Hours for their vacation days and have a general idea of which Park they will be in and then book ADR's in or near that park, on that day.

Mickey can be found at several Character Meals. (My kids like Chef Mickey's for breakfast.) If you go to the allears site, there is a list of which characters can be found at the restaurants.

We purchase the regular Dining Plan, (DP) with 1 Table Service meal (TS), 1 Counter Service meal (CS) & 1 snack, per day. Most character meals use 1 TS credit and are either buffet or family style.

Have fun planning... any more questions, just ask. :wizard:
