New to Disney (again)

I went to WDW when I was 7. Alot has changed. I've been on the boards for a while but don't post too often (usually, on the USF/IOA boards).

Well, I asked my husband 2 days ago...."Do you think that we should take the kids to Disney? an he said "Ya, we should."

As a family we've only done USF/IOA. Now we're ready to jump to the mouse!

I'm at the beginning and I know that there is alot to learn from the boards (I already have.)

I normally book my own trips (airfare, car and time on the gulf). But I don't know where to beginn to choose my hotel-resort-tix.

Will it take me a million hours to research or is there a simpler way to start off?

P.S We hve 3 kiddos- 17 DS, 13 DD, 10 DS ( if that makes any difference)

My reccomendation would be to purchase the Unofficial Guide and read up. Lots of info in there, and it's not as biased as Birnbaums.

Thanks. I've already written the names down. I think I'll go to the library first.

I just thought I could expedite this thing because my husband isn't happy when the clothes, dinner and dishes are backed up.

He doesn't understand how much time (and fun) it takes to plan these vacations.

I just don't know where to stay. SOOO many choices. I like AKL, but the Villas seem better for 5 people. I need to learn the benefits of staying on/offsite.

I don't mind renting a car for transport to/from resort, but getting groceries helps. Plus, every trip, someone loses or breaks their glasses, which means a quick trip to Lensmasters !!!!!!!!!!!!
