So we are doing the dining plan (1 TS, 1 CS and 1 snack). One member of our party is a two year old (turning 3 during the trip). Does the two year old get the 1x1x1 as well? If not, how do they eat? Are they required to eat off our plates or do we have to pay OOP for food for her?

I have actually called about the same thing. My daughter will be 2 on our trip. They told me that the children eat Free but, this means that at regular TS restaurants they have to share with you. If it is a buffet you can get them their own plate. Essentially I was not too worried since I have DDD with 3 TS and 2 snacks a day because it's way too much food and more than enough to share. I guess it would depend on if at certain meals you wanted to pay OOP for her if you did not have enough food.

At most places, they simply shared off our plates. We also bought a few child's meals OOP. At a few places, though, the server brought a complimentary child's meal. (I know that was definitely the case at CRT and the Wave.) I'm sure that was more of a server-by-server thing, rather than a policy, though.

A friend that we are traveling with has a child who is free as well, and she was told at TS restaurants he will either eat off of her plate or she could pay out of pocket for a meal. At the buffets he could get his own plate.

My niece was 2 for our trip last year. I had read that CRT usually brings a complimentary meal like buttered noodles. They told my sister her 2 year old could order anything off the kids menu and they would bring her a smaller sized portion. Akershus the plan was that she would share her big sister's dinner but they said to go ahead and order any meal off the kids menu for free which was a waste as she does not eat much.

There is so much food on the DDP that it was easy to share with my niece.

Children under age 3 do not receive dining credits.

At buffets, or family style restaurants they can eat whatever they want for no extra charge.

At fixed price restaurants they will be provided with food.

At a la carte restaurants they can eat off the party's plates, or you can order a meal for them (which you'd need to pay for).
