Hi folks,
Experienced WDW traveler with a WdW AP so don't need "land & sea" but dh finally said he would like to try a cruise!! We are limited because of school so I am looking at 2/1906 on the wonder. We are a family of 4, my dd's will be 9 and 11 at the time of the trip.

I keep getting a different quote with the same criteria each time I visit the WDW site. I did get an amazing quite from a "discount cruise booking site" but don't know how to tell if its legit. (can I post the name here?)

Dh wants a cat 4 but I think 5 or 4 would do the trick, the only must is enough beds and a verandah - is there much of a difference other than as few sq feet?

How do I tell which stateroom would do the trick and do you have any other hints or tricks? I am willing to do the booking and searching for info but since the rest of the Dis is so great I started here.

Am I in a time crunch as far as prices go - it seems as if they went up about $400 from the time I poked around last night to this afternoon?

Sorry so many questions - I am going to keep reading around as they have probably been asked and answered but hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.

TIA
TJ

That may be correct... the cruise that I booked in Nov for 05/06 has gone up $1700 since we booked. Plus, keep in mind that they limit the # of children by age group on the ship- book soon, or you may find yourself shut out by virtue of your kids ages- especially since you are going during a school break!

Hi there you can compare your pricing...Very good to do so. There is Dreams Unlimited, they sponser this site.. Allseasonstravel. they have some pricing on their sites to give you a general idea.

The pricing works by tiers, so once they have filled one, the price rises to the next tier, etc.

You could try doing a search here with the name of your company that you found that great price with. People are very friendly and helpful, and in general they write about their great experiences with certain agencies.

Good Luck, I hope you get to go and enjoy.. :sunny:

I would check Dreams unlimited. You have to request a quote but they are quick to respond. They beat Allseastravel.com by 180.00 and Disney's site by about $700.00 they are both reputable and have good service.
As far as the cabin, my advise is decide what you must have (balcony?) and then book the lowest catagory, unless you can see an obvious difference in the description. Most of the time it is just location on the ship and frankly you are not in the room that often (unless you have a napping child or something). Once you get it booked ask for guidance again on the boards. You will learn a lot from veteran cruisers. ie) go the day before and get on the ship early!
Hope this helps, as always, JMHO.

Thank you - I am in the process of gathering more quotes and visiting more websites -

Once you book your room can you change within the same category if a better location is available?

Thanks
TJ

Cat 6 would work for you... less than cat 5 same room different deck...
