Hi DH and I have decided to rent an RV and camp in Disney next year with our 2 children. I have a few questions, forgive me if they are already on this site. I did my best to find the answers first.

1. Is there a pool or lake for swimming?
2. A playground for the kids?
3. Are razor scooters allowed?
4. Is there showers and bathrooms near by? We are renting an RV (havent done it yet, have no idea if they come with showers or toliets. LOL)

We really think this will be the best way for us to see Disney. Our kids are special needs children and they like normalcy. (sp). I want to be able to cook for them and let them play outside after long days in the park.

Thanks for the help.
Bon

Here's a link to the Fort Wilderness site. http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wd...WildernessCampgroundResortLandingPage&count=3
You can check out all they offer.

They do have several playgrounds, as well as basketball and tennis courts. They do have pools and a "beach" like lake side with lounge chairs. Depending on where your site is depends on how close to the bathroom you are. I'm sure you could request to be close to one, if you need to. There are definitely plenty of things to keep your children playing and occupied after being in the park all day. I have seen plenty of kids on scooters and bikes also. Hope this helps!

You can not swim in the lake only sit on the "beach". They have 2 pools. 1 by the cabins 1 by meadows trading post. When you rent a RV it will have a bathroom. You can request being in a site that is close to the comfort stations(which have the bathrooms, laundry, ice machine and phone).
My DD is handicap and uses a WC ,we camp at the Fort several times a year. If you have any other questions about camping with a special needs child you can PM me.
