I need so much help.

I'm going to Disneyworld with friends October 17-22 (spending Oct. 21 at Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal) and although I've looked into some things and have some books, etc. my schedule is always so busy that I feel so behind on everything I feel the need to do to not waste time or money and make the most of our trip.

I've been perusing the boards and having a good time, meeting some new people, but I feel like I would kill for a mentor - someone who feels they know alot that won't shoot me if I annoy them with PM's to get my questions answered - just someone to help set me on the right path to figure all this out.

I'm not someone who just wants it all answered for me, I am such a student and love to learn how to figure it out for myself. I jsut have noooo idea where to start with this and tim eit slipping away :(

Anyone?

:welcome: to the DIS Boards. I do hope you find a good mentor here. Have fun on your Disney trip as well:cool1:

Have you already booked your trip? It sounds like you could use a good Travel Agent to help you out with the details.

You might also want to try out Tour Guide Mike. There is a link at the top of the Theme Parks board with a discount on the minimal fee that site charges.

We did book already, yeah. We're using a discount from our friend we've done shows with who's a cast member. I just have questions (like getting a better understanding of how fast passes work, what hours are extra magic hours, etc.) that I need to pick someone's brain about. I should probably arrange lunch with our firned while she'sin town. Also found out one of my students jsut came back into town after working at WDW as a charater for awhile, maybe she can help too. I just erally wanna make the most of our trip and I feel like Jessie Spano about it ("there's never enough time! There's no time to study! There's no time to practice!").

:lmao: Just remember that Jessie ended up getting slapped!

Most of the questions it sounds like you have can be easily answered with a quick search for the keyword on our boards, like the Theme Parks board and Disney Tips board. But also take a look at our site www.wdwinfo.com-- a lot of basic information is there and also www.allearsnet.com is a great source. In the time that it would take you to have a running conversation over the internet you can probably find most of the answers you are looking for-- and the answer to things you didn't even think to ask about! :)

There are also some great books at the library/bookstore. To buy my favorite one is the Passporter, but I love the Unofficial Guide to WDW and most libraries have at least a few copies from different years (it comes out every year). Get the most recent and most of the basic information, like it looks like you are interested in is still relevant.

Actually Passporter is having their annual $1 sale right now so you may want to look into ordering one-- but do it ASAP because they sell out quick. http://www.passporterstore.com/store/onebuckpassporter.aspx

To answer one question, you can get the Extra Magic Hours from the Disney Website. They are at different parks at different parks each day so that is the best way to get the most accurate information.

Don't be afraid to ask questions on the boards here. If you can't find something through search then find the board that it most relates too (Dining, Resorts, Theme Parks etc...) and see what others have to say. :)
