New ticket prices?

we bought one day ticket for end of March before tiered price changes announced; do I have to pay the additional price to get in park?

not that i know of, but the ticket you bought before tiered pricing is valid any day through december 31 of this year because those were the terms when you bought it.

i have no idea if tickets have to be used for the day you picked, or you'd be able to buy a value ticket and use it on a peak day by paying the difference or what, but you definitely wouldn't just be able to use a value ticket on a peak day.

No you cannot use a value ticket on a peak day.

When you go to the website and search for a 1 day ticket, you have to pick a day, so I imagine you would need to use it on the day you pick. I could be wrong, it might just say value on the back of the ticket and you can use it for any value day, but you definitely couldn't use it on a regular or peak day. That would defeat the whole purpose of the different tiered tickets.

Here is the response I got:

Peak Ticket
A 1-Day Peak Ticket is valid for one admission to one theme park on any Peak, Regular or Value season date.

Regular Ticket
A 1-Day Regular Ticket is valid for one admission to one theme park on any Regular or Value season date.

Value Ticket
A 1-Day Value Ticket is valid for one admission to one theme park on any Value season date.

Our 1-Day Peak, Regular and Value tickets must be used by December 31, 2017, but the amount paid for an unused, expired ticket may be applied towards the purchase of a new ticket at the current price, so long as the new ticket purchase price is equal to or greater than the amount paid for the original ticket.

Peak, Regular and Value validity dates continue to be added to the calendar from time to time, so please check back often. The dates assigned to each of these seasons and the number of days in each of these seasons may change from year to year.

Not valid for separately priced activities/events. No credit or refund will be given if a higher season ticket is used on a lower season date. Admission is subject to capacity closures and to other restrictions.


I'm asking for clarification of a couple of things.
1-Can a VALID ticket be upgraded (they only address expired)
2-When they mentioned 'dates continue to be added' does that mean that if I buy a ticket in advance that the price may change by the time that date arrives?

Ha! I typed but never entered the above post!

Here's the clarification I received from Ticket Services a moment ago:


You can upgrade a valid value ticket to either a regular or peak day by just paying the difference at any ticket booth yes.


The dates are always subject to change on season dates so while very rare it is possible that a value can be changed to a regular or peak yes. At that point you would have to upgrade the ticket to that valid time frame.

I'm assuming that you can upgrade a valid 'regular' to a 'peak' ticket, too.


The second point is interesting. Again, I don't think it's likely that someone would be purchasing a single day ticket way in advance but you never know. It's a good thing to bear in mind that you just might be in for a 'surprise' at the gate and so budgeted for potentially having to pay a bit more when you get there.
