Hi gang--this is a reduction from the lowest rates I could find yesterday. Thrifty has a mini-van for $39.99 per day, unlimited mileage, good until 6/14. Even with the drop off fee that I'm stuck with on the way to PC, it is the best rate for my travel.

The code is 9FLMV.

Last October I found Thrify to be the cheapest even with the $15.00 drop off fee. $15.00 for the drop off is a bargarin for PC....when I wanted to drop the car in FLL last month (picking up from MCO) the drop charge was $120!!!

We're flying into JAX...drop off fee at PC is $35. But even with that, Thrify is only $4 more than Avis on that leg. Avis allows 125 miles, Thrifty is unlimited. Thus, I'll come out ahead on the free mileage. Besides....I won't be thinking about paying 25 cents per mile when the kids want to do a grocery run or whatever....or if/when I get lost.:thumbsup2

Wow...$35 now for drop off in PC...maybe because you are picking up car in JAX...I know our drop fee was only $15.00 from MCO dropping off in PC.

Anyway...have a good time with the girls!!!

Thanks..we will have fun!
I just put in a dummy ressie...the same $39 rate is available at MCO with a $15 drop off. So...our $35 must reflect the JAX pick up (and that they know we'll put 180 miles on the car. It's all good...it's still the best rate after MANY codes from MANY companies!

We are cruising from Fort Lauderdale next March.
We usually rent from Budget.
We are flying into Orlando.
THe drop off fee MCO to FLL (airport, not port) with Thrifty is $100!!!

National has no drop of fee and rate is $20 less.
I've just begun my searching....

I had the hardest time over the last few months getting a decent weekly rental for a full sized car from anyone (picking up in MCO and dropping off in FLL). Every quote I got was for well over $300.00. I finally used a special rate that Avis was offering through their website and I also found a coupon code from www.mousesavers.com that could also be applied. Our rate was then $279.00 with $35.00 to be taken off when we returned the car to FLL...sure enough when we returned the car our final bill was $244.00 (because of the $35.00 coupon) when we got the receipt after checking the car back in.

Can anyone compare Thrify to Budget...as far as where they are located in MCO and at the port? I currently have a one way rental reserved with Budget, but may look at Thrifty if it would be just as easy and they have the free shuttle, etc. Anyone know?

Thrifty and Budget are both on site at MCO. They are in the same garage, literally across the walkway from the terminal. They are on the same road at Cape Canaveral; Budget is a little closer to the terminal. Hertz is closest, then Budget....Thrifty is a little farther down the street. Not enough to make a difference.

The 9FLMV code is a promo code on the reservation site. On the way TO PC, it gave me the $39 rate, then automatically added the drop off fee ($35 since we're picking up at JAX). It also added taxes, etc...and shows unlimited mileage. The code for Cape Canaveral is MU2 for Thrifty. Total cost was $90 something, but Avis was $88 for 125 miles (JAX is 160 miles away from port per mapquest). Budget was $104 for 150 miles!

On the way home, there was no drop off charge--it shows the $39 + taxes, fees, etc. for a total of something like $45!

The Cape Canaveral code for Budget is CC5. It's really sad that I know these!

Thanks for the info...I will check it out. I think I am paying around $50.00...something like $47.00 though Budget. So it may not be any cheaper. We leave in a week, so I need to get on it and check it out...get it done for sure this weekend!!

This saved me money, THANK YOU! We will have a $15 drop off fee. We are picking it up at the Port and then a week later dropping it off at MCO. Not sure my husband will be thrilled to drive a mini van, but it saved us $100 from the SUV.

codes will be out for July 13 (only need for 4 days) - any suggestions?

It comes out to about $69.04... about $.17 less than what I am getting from Avis K199060 for a Chevy Trailblazer unlimited miles ~ there are only 4 of us; do we need a mini-van?

The winning factor would be where each are located @ the airport & port? Anyone know the difference.

I don't know if you need a mini-van. You'd for sure have enough luggage space with it. Thrifty is on site at MCO (right across the walk from baggage check). It is on the main street at Cape Canaveral--a little farther down than Budget. I don't know which would be better for you....I know it worked out better for me!

This was a new code as of today--wasn't there yesterday. SO, for PP's July reservation, I'd keep checking rentalcodes.com. Book the best rate you can find today, and cancel/alter if you find a better rate later.

Thank you!!! This saved us $140! :thumbsup2 I had made reservations back in Feb and booked the best I could find~ this is SO much better. One of the drop off fees was $75 at the time. :scared:

We'll see you May 30!:banana::banana::banana:

Well, I have booked my one way rental for our return trip to MCO...I have my one way rental for our arrival booked through Budget, and it is a little less than $50.00. I just looked at Budget for my return trip (Don't know why I did not book it when I booked our arrival:confused3), and it is way more!! So I am going with Thrifty using the code provided...with the $15.00 drop off fee and taxes, etc...it is $60.00. I will keep looking for something cheaper...but for now I will keep what I have. Thanks for posting the discount code!

We had a Trailblazer before for 4 adults with luggage and we were fine.
