With the rumors of Project 314 being a new themepark, what kind of time scale are we looking at before there’s anything official announced?

Also I’ve heard rumors that there may be a Star Trek themed land but that is also rumored for the T2:3D replacement as well as a Bourne themed attraction. My husband is a Trekkie so I’m really hoping for his sake that the Star Trek land comes to light. What are people’s thoughts and opinions on this?

Hi I have read it the same types of rumor articles and posts. I personally think it is a great idea. My family loves Star Trek and I think it could be a really cool part of a new theme park they build. I think we will hear very soon about the T2 replacement for that is tentatively scheduled for next year. As far as the rumored new park it probably won't be announced for awhile. On other forums I belong to and on here posters seem to think probably in line with Disney opening all their stuff in the next several years. One thing about Universal though is if they want to move on a project they certainly do. I don't think Star Trek would be as popular with a younger generation like Star Wars. I think if they did do this as part of a land in a new park, they could entice a whole new demographic to come into the park. I know I grew up on Star Trek my whole life and it would be cool.

I think Star Trek is slowly becoming popular again with the new films and the new series seems to be a hit. It’ll be interesting to see how it all pans out.

You won’t hear much about a new park until it’s very close to opening, years from now, if Universal’s past behavior is any indication. They just bought the land, so there’s ton of planning still to be done before any dirt moves.

I love Star Trek but wonder if it has enough international appeal.

Many different fancnchises have been bandied about either as a land or stand alone park that’s not expected to open until 2023 at the earliest

LOTR, Nintendo, Jurassic Park, Fantastic Beasts, even Star Wars suggested as lands. Will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Enjoy the various Star Trek franchises but Vegas wasn’t able to sustain an attraction for long, not sure it would have ‘legs’ in MCO either.
