Ok......I can't stand it anymore. It's worth the humiliation....

What does ADR stand for?

I'm assuming it replaces "PS"

:confused3

Rootakste is right. Only the name has been changed. The system itself is exactly the same as it has always been. It is still not a true reservation, just a "first available table after check in" regardless of walk ups who may have gotten there before you.

Does anyone know why they changed it? Was "Priority Seating" simply too confusing for people? :confused3

I was wondering why the name change too! PS sound more straightforward. :flower:

Something about "ADR" sounds like a technical college to me. :earboy2:

Sounds like a medical procedure.......

"My Dr. said I have to go in for an ADR...."

Thanks guys! :wave2:

In my business an ADR is an American Depository Receipt. I don't know why they feel that they have to change these things. I think they have fun sometimes dreaming up new ways to confuse people. The old saying holds true her- If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Actually it's not EXACTLY the same--there's been a rather significant change. For those staying at Disney resorts, you can make all of your reservations 90 days out from your CHECK-IN date. So, if you were staying for 14 days, you would actually be making a reservation for the last day about 104 days out.

I'd suggest the Dining board to anyone that has additional questions.

Why the name change? Perhaps it came as a result of guest surveys that showed people were less confused by the word "reservation". As indicated, it's still not a true-blue reservation, but it's pretty darn close. I honestly don't recall ever waiting more than 5-10 minutes beyond my scheduled time for any meal. In my experiences, they don't overbook the PS / ADR to the point where folks have excessive waits for a table.

Can you really make ALL of your reservations?
I had thought it was all except for CRT, or am I wrong?
