I surely hope that there is a tag fairy who tags the tag fairies. Only seems FAIRY that the bestowers of joy should be receivers too!

In the left column, right under people's names, you will see little ditties of wisdom. Your's currently says "Welcomed Guest". This is called a custom title, or a custom "tag". once you have reached a certain number of posts, you can edit this to say what you like. However, you can not change the color, basic black text is it.

Sometime ago, people started noticing new tags showing up under their names that were not put there by them. And, they were in *color*! No one could explain how these were getting there, but they often had to do with something you had recently posted and, in many cases, would like to forget you posted. The only explaination was that there must be a fairy running around. No, not the kind you find wearing red shirts at WDW in July, but the kind you never see who fly around and change people's tags. Thus, a tag fairy.

I can explain what a CarolAnnK (otherwise known as a "CAK") is also. This is a species of moderator who has been on these boards for a very long time and is currently in the middle of a life change involving moving to Chicago to be with her sweetie (which is why she's not quite as visible on these boards as she once was). I belive in the tag fairy and I want to see them freely placing tags to surprise people. This is just a little added touch to bring the magic here. Lets not spoil it. Some day when the tag fairy visits me it will be on a day that I needed a smile. Until then I can wait patiently.

The Tag fairy contacted me tonite. They are very upset. They exist to bring joy and happiness and surprises to people.
They can't do that any more. The tag fairy has decided to go back to what made people happy.
They are going to surprise people, the way it was in the begining and the way it was meant to be. What that means is that if you ask for a tag you can expect not to get it. If you start clapping threads, begging threads, email, pm, instant message or telegram anyone...you can expect not to be tagged.
They ONLY way to be tagged is for the tag fairy to find you and surprise you.
Everyone should also realize that the tag fairy doesn't tag based on how popular you are. Usually it's a split second decision because something caught their eye.
The Tag fairy also asked me to say that they really hope everyone goes along with this. They really don't want to leave the Dis... but they may have to.... unless they can go back to bringing joy to people....

I think begging for a tag is the equivalent of:

1) faxing 8 room requests daily to the room controller.
2) compaining if you don't get near the HH at OKW.
c) complaining that your wash rag is not folded into the shape of a swan.
4) dissing another person's DVC resort because it is not your taste.
5) Pushing your way to the front row of the parade with your party of six 5 minutes before it starts.
