New Susan Boyle from BGT Semi Final

I agree with others that she was definately off in the beginning due to nerves. At this stage of the game, she's close to sing for the Queen and that's what she really wants. She's got to be feeling the pressure. She's up against some other good acts too, although she's my favorite.

I'm a fan of hers and can't wait until I can buy her cd. I'll be out on the first day released to buy it.

:lovestruc Thank you for sharing this. It was nice to hear the wobble in the beginning; it makes me hoepful that the enormous amount of publicity she's getting isn't making her head just swell like so very many American "singers" *snort* that I could name.

Not to bad. She was off at first and you see her bring her hand to her diapharam so she knew she was too breathy and not controlling the tune. Andrew Lloyd Webber is not for the faint of heart. It's a crushingly hard song to sing, so props to her for the choice. I liked it once she got it under control.

I had to sing this song a couple years ago, and it was definitely not for the faint of heart. You have to keep going from the depths of your range to the peaks. Her beginning was bad, which was sad because when you can start this song with energy in your voice it's amazing. Further on in the song some things weren't crisp, but her ending made up for all of it.

I would love to hear it other then thru YouTube. I heard excerpts of "I Dreamed a Dream" on network TV and it sounded so much better. Cleaner, clearer, and stronger.

Still loved it, though, bobbles and all!

Wonder what she will pick next if she makes it through? Does anyone know how many make it through to the next round?

I'm not too sure how many make it through to the final but Susan did make it through -:thumbsup2 The Grand Finale is next Saturday - I can't wait to hear what she will sing:)

she has a beautiful voice and that first song was amazing, but I don't think she picked the right song this time. The Les Mis song worked so much better for her. If she feels good with the musical songs, there are so many more to choose from that would work so much better for her. I cringed during those first few words. Glad that she was able to recover.

Tou gh song to sing. She wobbled a bit at the beginning but recovered nicely.

She's better at the "belt it out" kind of songs, I think.

Hope she doesn't pick something like the "I Will Always Love You" category.

To keep the ALW roll going she should next do "All I ask of you"! It would show off her range nicely.

Thanks for posting OP

Not Susans Best but thoroughly enjoyed it and still hoping SHE WINS!!!

I have to say that from a strictly vocal perspective she wasn't quite as strong as last time, but my goodness, that woman can sing!! And what an inspiration :cool1:
I think the songs she's chosen have been phenomenal. She did have to collect herself (when she put her hand over her diaphragm), but she recovered and wowed everyone again. I have a question, do you think she was singing to live music instead of canned this time around? B/c if it was live, it'd be more challenging to get the timing down. I agree, I believe she was a more self conscience this time around knowing a lot of eyes were on her.

And wow, can she choose the songs! Just the perfect ones to touch people.
I think her personal message is through the songs she's sung. (I Dreamed a Dream and Memory from Cats).

One of the online comments I saw was absolutely right....the last 30 seconds redeemed the rest of her performance - definitely not Susan's best.

agnes!
PS - Check out the official Britain's got talent youtube channel, it has all the performances of tonight's semi-finalists.

Look at Paul Potts from his rounds on BGT and now. Now, he's a new man image wise and doing well. I'm not worried about teeth. Susan's going to have some competition, but she just might be the next BGT super star.

I wouldn't mind hearing her sing, Ava Maria. I think she'd be great with it.

I'm so glad there are other BGT viewers to chat with!:goodvibes:

OT yet related: Call me odd, but I prefer BGT over Americas Got Talent for some reason.

I thought she did a fantasic job,,,, I could have never done it! A very beautiful voice! :goodvibes

Her voice is lovely...

However, I liked her first performance much better.
