(MICHIGAN) A newly conducted study of one woman shows that hot flashes can help a woman prepare for the challenges of running in warm weather. Says out subject, Maura: "I'm so happy to have these hot flashes since our winter has been so cold. It really helps me feel like I'm running in 80 degree weather. Now if only they could duplicate the humidity, I'd be thrilled. It will really help me train for the Minnie 15K in May at Disneyworld."
Additional subjects are being recruited for phase two of this test. Interested women runners of "a certain age" can send an email to.......................

(And I ran 4 miles non-stop for the first time ever!)
