New SSR Pictures

Great pictures. Thanks for posting them. What a difference from last April when there was only a hole in the ground. Wow!!!

Thanks! I could look at these all night! Can't wait to visit.

I wonder what the small/single windows on the upper peaks go to? Just decorative...or something fun up there?

I can't wait to see what they do for trees and landscaping.

Thanks for this! Wow! The buildings look somewhat like BWV to me. Can't wait for 1st trip.

Hope the hallways are not as long as everyone says BWV's are. :)

Great Photos! It does look alot like BWV. ::yes::

The stone wall is a nice touch. I think we will be very happy staying here and enjoying our "Spa" vacations.

Isn't it gorgeous? It's me who shot these and I was so excited to post them... Thanks again to Pooh80 for her help bringing them to the Boards.

We rented a pontoon boat at OKW and that's how we got so close... You still can't get anywhere NEAR buildings otherwise. I liked how close these "phase 1" buildings are to the water -- thought that was really nice. We had no idea how CLOSE Downtown Disney is -- just outside the scope of the photos -- but someone here on the Boards says that the rooms have been specially desigend to be quiet once you close your door. When we sat at the stage at Downtown Disney, just back from the Rainforest Cafe, Saratoga is RIGHT THERE -- you could just about hit it if you had a good arm and a baseball.

I can't WAIT to stay here... Seriously thinking about an add-on. What else is new?

If anyone is visiting soon and wants to see these "first hand," the ferry from OKW or Riverside goes right past this spot where I took the photos.

See you at WDW!

Colleen, your photos are famous! They are appearing everywhere. ;) They really are terrific.

Great Photos! I only wish that our new house was moving along this fast! I agree it does seem to look a lot like BWV.

The stone wall is the Fireworks Viewing area at the resort. It sits right on the lake's edge between the villa buildings and DD and will have a nice clear view of events over the DD/PI area. It sits between buildings #2 and #3.

Enjoy!

These pictures are great! I find that I keep going back to them! I've bookmarked them along with Doc's so I won't forget where they are!

Thanks again!!

beautiful pictures!!!

In the last two pictures - there looks likes a building in front of the main building - what is it????

Spiceycat, when we visited the Saratoga model at Boardwalk, they gave us a nice booklet that showed where the Saratoga buildings (phases 1, 2, and 3) would be. The buildings currently under construction are right there along the water. I am not sure what you are referring to in the photo. There was an older building quite close as we sailed by (from the OKW end) and when I stretched my neck I could see it still said "Disney Institute." I couldn't tell from the water which was the "main" building and where the spa (still) is... It will be fun to actually walk around this place and snoop "up close and personal." The only other buildings nearby were Downtown Disney ones and the Lake Buena Vista hotels in the distance.
