New SSR Map with Grandstand

Is there a carosel built over in the carosel section?

From the bus, it looks like there is a pavilion built to look like a carousel that has the carousel horses on poles around the perimeter. We didn't take the time to get a closer look.

Thanks for the update Jeff. I'd love to see more pictures if anyone can post--maybe someone going over the holidays?

I took some last week, just waiting for them to be developed. Yeah, old fashioned film.

The pavilion at the Carousel does indeed have carousel horses (4), the grills and picnic tables are also located there.

:)

Thanks for the map! I too am looking forward to seeing some pictures of the new sections.

I'll take a walk around the resort next week and get some pictures for you. I really want to see what it looks like. We were there in June '05 and only Congress Park & The Springs were open.

Could you direct me the WillCAD's post on walking distance? Thanks again for the posts.

Blakely

My big mistake! It was Caskbill who does the GPS walking distances.

Here is his thread from July.

:thumbsup2 We just returned from SSR yesterday staying in the congess park section across from the quiet pool. It took us approx 5 minutes to get to the main pool. We also walked one day from congress park around the outside of the paddock to the bridge and over to the spings section about a 15 minute walk. the map is very deceiving, the distances do not seem as far in person. this was our first trip to SSR and looking forward to our September trip. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the post. Can't wait to go back in January!!!! And it really doesn't matter the walk. I will be out of the winter in upstate NY!!!
