This sounds great to me. Flying Southwest for the first time in August and was dreading having to stand in line twice. Now we can check-in at the skycap counter and be on our way.

I really liked everything about Southwest except standing in that line at the departure gate.

Sounds good. I read over the Q & A and am wondering if families with small children will still get to preboard?

Sounds like they will... they will probably board under the A catagory, along with special needs customers. You will just have to make those arrangements at the Departure Gate. Sounds like a great new system. I hope it is up and running at ORF and MCO in October!
