I've seen questions in the past about how to get from DL to Universal Studios Hollywood. I read in the paper this morning that USH will begin operating a free shuttle service between the theme park and Anaheim-area hotels starting July 1. There will even be a "driver guide" on board to narrate a tour of Southern California locations. I thought this might help some of you vacation planners. I don't have any other details, but the article gave these sites for more info: www.universalstudioshollywood.com and www.coachusa.us and (800)Universal.

What paper was the article in. I went to the sites but they still have the same material that they have promoted in the past.

Thanks,

It was in the Orange County Register, Life section, Tuesday 5-9. It was more of a blurb on page 3 or 4. Did you try the websites they suggested? I haven't really looked at them since I'm not planning a trip. Although the shuttle is free, I think you need an admission ticket to Universal. Sorta free with conditions ;)

Thanks, that would be great if it happens. It would save me that wonderful drive up to the hills. When I use to live there, it was no problem, but the traffic has become a joke. Moving the six of us would be much easier. I did look at the sites and found nothing that would reference a shuttle to USH.

No kidding? :confused3 That's a rather useless article. Maybe there will be more info available closer to July 1st. I thought it was a great service and pretty smart of Universal to offer such a shuttle.

Will the shuttle be available to USH annual pass holders?

All I can say is it is about time!! It amazes me that they don't have better/more economical transportation around the area for tourists; there are always so many people trying to figure out how to get around.

Thanks for the info. :thumbsup2

Mary Jo, thanks for the article. We are interested in the transportation with the FOTL passes. I can not reference the transportation to the tickets and vice versa with grayline. Looks like I will have to call them to figure it out. We won't be there until August so me have lots of time.
